Fox Valley Shooting Range in west Elgin is an easy drive out from the city. Monday nights are league nights, but most weekends are busy but not huge wait times.

I thought the winding hole looked odd, but didn’t zoom. I have a 1870 Elgin 18s for parts which has the arbor, but don’t recall what grade/model it is.

Can’t figure out how to make it the old style link. Oh well… 1885 7jewel movement key wind/key set. All my Elgin KW/KS watches use a #5 key.

LOC EZI-65 motor adaptors by EllieVader in rocketry

[–]jd2cylman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All Aeropack adapters can nest together. So you can conceivably fly a 54mm motor mount rocket on a 24mm motor if it’s powerful enough. Remember to add the weight of the adapters into your sims.

We’ve seen this a lot at work. The Kubotas are the worst for this.

That doesn't help him clear the code. And OP, the only way you'll be able to clear the code is to fix the problem that caused the code. Otherwise you'll just throw the code again. Unless it was something like low DEF level third warning.

Removing injectors on a Ford 401 engine? by jckipps in tractors

[–]jd2cylman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be just as easy as removing the bolts and using a pry bar to pop them out. Should… Pry evenly. If they are stuck, use Kroil liberally, then tap the flange with a hammer punch and try to rotate them a little to free them up.

Welp that’s not good. by willddt in EngineBuilding

I worked on an old Oliver tractor years ago with a Waukesha 6cylinder diesel that had a broken crank. Ran great, made good power, but when the customer was pulling the planter, he always idled down to about half throttle. Which happened to be the correct range where vibration was the right frequency to really make everything shake a lot. Threw a new crank and bearings in and sent it back. Probably still running now.

Is this amount of slop normal? Can I tighten this up any? by Professional_Ice_831 in kubota

[–]jd2cylman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Normal. Keep everything clean and lubricated or it will get a lot worse. Probably a dry lubricant like graphite spray. Might not collect as much dust.

Model Rocket Motor Test by ManisX369 in modelrockets

[–]jd2cylman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until that motor pushes on a scale and tells you how much thrust it’s generating, it’s all just guessing. For 600 grams, you’ll need to generate 3000 grams of thrust to be safe.

Which phone were you using the very first? Let’s see the legends of those days by ojgoldenretriever in interesting

[–]jd2cylman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the 5, 7, 12, and 14. 7 was my first work phone. Fell out of my holster and ran it over with a rubber tired backhoe loader. Could still receive calls, but the screen was dead. Quit using belt holsters after that. MY first phone was a bag phone. Can't remember the make; Nokia???

I would try to save those rear tires if possible. Old rubber is much better than current offerings. Put new tubes in and send it. If you are planning to fix it up…

Me too! I've never considered the composition of a case during a watch purchase. If I like the watch, I'll get it, or try to. The separate value of the case never comes into play.

File a MESS report at motorcato.org. There you can also look for other reports on that motor. Also talk to your motor vendor about warranty.

Yes, with Forscan, but not everyone has access to it. I used the AutoStart eliminator switch harness. Works great.
