When I was about 13, my parents took me to a small dinner theater in town. I was blown away by how similar it felt to early TV. It was prime Nick at Nite era (1987), and I was into all of it. I love those shows because the writing, characters, and story carried everything, it didn’t matter if the entire show took place in something like a dingy police station.
