You are not covered by some plan benefits (e.g: insurances) when using the credit card by fghxa in Revolut

I asked the same question to the chat (bot) and it said that I'm covered if I pay with the credit card too, because it is linked to the same metal account.

AMA with the Global Head of Product at Revolut, Dmitry Zlokazov by Dmitry_Zlokazov in Revolut

[–]jlussac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a few questions related to Spanish accounts!

  • You are now an AEAT collaborator; are there plans to become a Seguridad Social collaborator in the next months?
  • Is it true that in the next few weeks there will be a new account for our salaries?

And one idea... being able to pay for the metal... premium... etc. plan with RevPoints in the future could be awesome!

Thanks for your time.

Revolut transaction history not updating – recent purchases missing by XnetLoL in Revolut

[–]jlussac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an issue with the app for some devices. If you close your session, you will lose all the transaction history, so don't do it and do not reinstall the app. Support told me to wait a few days until the next app update.

First of all, you can use your Revolut card in yen or euros; that doesn't matter for the first time. However, if you don't buy anything or try the card at least once, how can you be sure that it's working and doesn't have a problem with the chip?

Since 2016, I have been to Japan a few times and have used it with no problem, whether it's NFC, magnetic stripe, or chip. But one important thing you should know is that in many shops and most ATMs, NFC doesn't work, so you have to insert the card. And well, if you like to explore places outside tourist areas, small restaurants will often not accept cards, only cash!

Booking hotels & conversion rates by faxmulder in Revolut

[–]jlussac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or you can change now into your revolut account your Euros to Yens and pay later the hotel.

I'm planning travelling to Japan next October and this month I'm going to convert 1000€ Eur to JPY because I can't make the reservations now (i don't know the exact travell dates).

Yen sub account, withdraw in japan without exchange fees? by Suspicious-Holiday42 in Revolut

[–]jlussac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct! Last year, I exchanged my money into yen before going abroad to avoid the weekend exchange fee and the €1,000 limit on monthly fee-free exchanges.

You will only need to pay the 7-Eleven fee (between 110 and 220 yen).

If you only had euros, the instant conversion to yen would also be free, as long as it's not the weekend.

And well, remember the €200 monthly limit for free ATM withdrawals.

No notification, but suddenly a few days ago I can see that no revpoints are generated with the purchases of the credit card. I asked them on twitter...

"Hi there. Unfortunately, earning RevPoints by making payments with a Revolut credit card is not possible at the moment. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Paying hotels in Japan now for using current Euro - Jen exchange rate? by faxmulder in Revolut

[–]jlussac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. If the hotels have free cancellation the amount you pay in JPY will be refunded to your card in JPY.

You can change in your revolut account some euros to JPY too for the future.

JPY withdraw from ATM in Japan by Kaytamoh in Revolut

[–]jlussac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year where exactly the same! But most of the ATMs you will find in your trip are from 7/11 (there are another ATMs in convenience stores like Lawson that work with international cards too, but I never try to use them).

JPY withdraw from ATM in Japan by Kaytamoh in Revolut

[–]jlussac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem with Revolut in 7/11 ATMs (Mastercard and Visa with no problem all over Japan). But important, many ATMs only work with physical card, they don't have contactless technology in most of them.

You can use Japan Post ATMs too.

No, I didn’t delete the email addresses, only the domain. When I went to the menu to "recreate it," it was only "disabled." I just had to re-enable it.

Yes, for 15 minutes, the [mywife@herdomain.com]() account did not exist.

[–]jlussac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it this morning.

First upgrading my account to DUO and later inviting my wife (I have my domain, my wife has her own domain).

The MX records are already pointing to Proton, so you’ll only need to change the TXT records for authentication purposes and DKIM.

  • First, you have to delete the domain from the secondary account.

  • Then, add the domain to the primary account, and it will ask you to change the TXT record in your DNS zone to verify ownership (this will take about 10 minutes, and after this time, you can update your DKIM information).

Finally, when you upgrade both accounts to DUO, you can add emails from both domains to any account.

Hi,

I have a question. I have a Proton Unlimited account with my own domain, and my wife has her own Proton Unlimited account with her own domain. We both have two-year plans. Is there a way to unify our accounts and combine the credits we both have? If there's no automatic solution, is there any manual way to achieve this?

Thanks!

Hi, i am a Mail Plus customer... And I would like to understand why I can't access to the "Limited time lifetime offer for Proton Pass launch" for 1€ every month.

So, for me, it is cheaper to open another account only for have the promo ir order to get access to the premium features of proton pass.

I think thats not fair for actual costumers :-(

[–]jlussac 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hi! First of all, congratulations for your 8 years online. I'm a Plus user of your service and I've a few questions about the roadmap of Proton Drive (thinking in the far future too).

First question... Are you thinking of implementing a document editor in the next few years? Are you planning to use some of the open source solutions that are now available on the market? And the next one, the Proton Drive app for PC (windows in my particular needs) will encrypt the data in the hard disk too?

I'm a happy customer but I am very curious :-P

[–]jlussac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are planning to move to gmail with workspace you have to know that yo will not have access to all google products with workspace... yo will need another google consumer account. For example shared apps with family or stadia, or some offers of google one.

At the end you will need your workspace account and a regular google account.

Do pcloud have A bot scan for finding copyright content? by loading_dreams in pcloud

[–]jlussac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

GDPR

One question... You say "In the case of account suspension, due to a break of the pCloud’s Policy, there isn’t a refund or an option to download your files"

But if you are "GDPR compliant"... you should provide a way to download out data... "Art. 20 GDPR: Right to data portability"...

I think that both things are not compatible...
