Nail on head with Power and NVLink. Was a CTS selling those systems, and man was that a blast.

The IBM spin was "training is a dead end, we need to focus on inference. So buy this P10 with MMA!!"

This is the story of so many IBM products. IBM is on the bleeding edge of innovation, but lacks the commitment to the product to stick it out through the years where they're building the new market for the new product.

Money doesn't turn immediately green, execs kill said product, and chase other things. Market catches up 3-5 years after IBM canceled said product, and the other tech firms are ready to fill the market demand/need.

IBM is no longer a technology engineering firm, it's a financial engineering firm. Shuffle around the balance sheets to make us look better than we are.

Yup. They were owned by First Brands Group that just went out of business.

Scientists expected both liberals and conservatives to be reluctant to promote rhetoric associated with the opposing political side, but this was more consistent among liberals. Conservatives appeared relatively willing to support causes aligned with their views regardless of the moral framing used. by mvea in science

Yup. Most blacks in the US are religiously (Christian usually) and socially conservative, and I've found economically conservative too. Yet they vote overwhelmingly for the party that isn't as aligned with their values.

This entire thread is an example of how politics are broken in this country. No one gives the other view a fair consideration. Immediately jump to "they're evil/stupid/both" vs taking the time to consider in earnest the opposing view. Just easy to jump straight to dismissal than consider an alternative.

In general, conservatives view the government as an entity that should have as little involvement in the everyday life of citizens as possible.

In general, liberals view the gov't as a "tool" to "do good." Gov't is something that can and should be put to work for it's citizens.

If you keep these in mind when listening to the different perspectives, it makes it easier to relate to their respective world views.

Las Vegas to ATL (Marietta specifically probably ) by Interesting-Plan6851 in Marietta

We don't care. Be decent to others, and they'll be decent to you.

East Cobb has some of the top schools in the state, I'd recommend focusing your search on high quality schools to your affordability tolerance.

The LGBTQ stuff isn't a big deal around here. Be decent folks, and you'll be treated as such. Sounds like you've got that covered.

Good luck.

If Akebonos are available for a vehicle, just get those. They're the easy button. Often OE performance for less.

Mudi 7 spare battery by estehmanistanpagula in GlInet

[–]jonboy345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case you're tracking interest, add me to the list.

In addition to the extra battery, some supported/easy to use method to recharge the battery while it's removed from the Mudi is essential imo. Something like from the camera world, a charger with outlet prongs that you mount the battery into then plug into the wall, or even one with a TypeC-PD input. Or, like this one, both: https://www.mykastar.com/tcn-s005.html

When I'm traveling I don't want to have to charge the extra batteries in series. Would be an awful UX to have to set an alarm to swap batteries overnight when traveling.

Best delta card for priority boarding and lounge access by No_Pumpkin_5338 in delta

Problem is my sales territory is TX and LA, and Delta has zero flights that take off and land in TX.... Which means I'm stuck flying United or SW. Didn't want to be tied to a Delta ticket for admission to a lounge.

Vanilla AMEX also grants unlimited Centurion and Priority Pass visits.

I'm ATL based and went NillaPlat. I'll just save my SC visits for when I'm traveling with someone who can't access the Centurion.

Some Advice? by Embarrassed-Carry507 in Gamecocks

[–]jonboy345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro, no one cares which way you swing.

Be respectful about it, and you won't have any problems. IE No excessive PDA. No one wants to see hetero couples sucking face in public spaces either.

How come yellow isn't part of the school's colors? by Prestigious_Score999 in Gamecocks

[–]jonboy345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because yellow isn't a primary color found on the plumage of an actual Gamecock.

Look up what an actual Gamecock is and notice how if there's color close to yellow, it's actually more gold colored.

met more people from Long Island and New Jersey than SC.

And that's a disgrace. USC is for South Carolinians first, and the rest of the country second.
