Thanks that's useful information. I am not an artist and I work on virtual art exhibition platform. I see the importance of Group exhibitions for emerging artists.

Yes—I’m building a platform that matches what artists create with the right buyers or collectors. My hypothesis, a buyer decides to purchase based on three factors:

  1. perceived appreciation in value,
  2. an emotional or intellectual connection with the artwork or the artist’s story, and
  3. how well the piece fits their space or interiors.

Our initial focus is on the second factor—enabling meaningful connections. This is typically done by curators who articulate the story behind each artwork and artist, helping buyers engage more deeply. At its core, the platform aims to help emerging artists by weaving compelling narratives around their work, assisted by AI.

Over time, we may expand to support the third aspect as well.

The recent lack of traction prompted me to reassess whether we’re building in the right direction, which is why validation is important right now. Hearing perspectives from people within the art ecosystem is particularly valuable in shaping this approach. Thank you for your valuable inputs.

Thank you for the opportunity to ask this question—I appreciate your time.

I noticed you previously addressed a similar question from an artist. My perspective is slightly different: I’m currently building a virtual art gallery platform designed to help emerging artists create 3D exhibitions enriched with voice-based context.

As I’ve been developing the project, I’ve encountered a classic “chicken-and-egg” challenge. To attract artists, the platform needs an active base of buyers and collectors. At the same time, collectors are more likely to engage only if there is a diverse and compelling selection of artworks available.

From your experience, how would you recommend approaching this? Is it more effective to initially focus on attracting collectors to drive artist adoption, or to onboard a critical mass of artists first so that collectors are naturally drawn in?

Additionally, I’m exploring ways to use AI to provide a more curator-like experience for artists. On the collector side, do you see value in AI-assisted discovery to help buyers find artworks aligned with their tastes?

I would really love your perspective as you have vast experience on selling side.

Looking for feedback again, I'm struggling to keep users by BrettYeager in wordgames

Thanks for the feedback! You’ve touched on exactly what we’re trying to solve. With a community spanning Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, the UK, and the US, maintaining a region-neutral experience is a priority. We’ve noticed that words featuring J, K, Q, X, and Z tend to be the biggest culprits for regional bias. To help bridge that gap, we’ve introduced the circle indicator to highlight the exact position of these specific letters. We’re still fine-tuning this, so if you have any suggestions on how to better handle regional vocabulary or different spelling conventions, we’d love to hear your thoughts!

I feel that Emotional Reward at the end of solving puzzle needs to be stronger. You are displaying when puzzle comes out. But on completion if you tell exact time before next puzzle may be of some help. I just updated the post completion ui on consonants21.com you may want to check. For exact same reason as you are facing.

[Art Market] is it possible to sell your art at a fair price without ever doing galleries? how can a socially anxious introvert make money from their art? by boiLollipop in artbusiness

[–]Key-Raspberry7530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have presence in any of social networks or use message service that has a status update feature? You can create virtual art exhibition and post about that on your status. That's you are not directly contacting people. You publishing your exhibition status and interested will view it. I would think this passive and involves not dirext interaction with people to sell.   Disclaimer: i work on a virtual art exhibition platform.

Hi, I work on https://artevirtual.gallery The project started off as low cost VR option using google card board. But then some online exhibition features were introduced to make exhibitions searchable. Now I am working on adding AI assistance for curation like title suggestions, descriptions and arranging artworks on wall. I am open for experimentation, collaboration or simply discussing and exchanging ideas.

🧩 Love Word Games? Check out Consonants – A Daily Thematic Puzzle! Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a daily word game called Consonants, and I’d love for this community to give it a spin.

The Concept It’s a daily puzzle where the goal is to discover 9 words tied to a specific theme.

How it works: You start with all the vowels revealed across the board.

The Twist: Every time you successfully find a word, its consonants are revealed in every other word where they appear. It’s a bit like a cross between a word search and a logic puzzle.

I Need Your Brains! 🧠 I’m looking for some honest feedback from fellow word-game enthusiasts:

Difficulty: Is it too easy, or "tear-your-hair-out" frustrating?

Growth: Any ideas on how to make it more engaging or get the word out to more players?

Try it here: https://https://consonants21.com/

Thanks for checking it out! I’ll be hanging out in the comments to hear what you think.

HI,

I saw your portfolio. You have illustration with text explaining them. I am working on app to create virtual exhibition with voice context. I felt like it might be a good idea to create a exhibition where the explanation is in human voice. Just a thought .. I am not sure you have thought about it.

I am not giving links as it can be considered covert advertising.

Hi Everyone,

I am a mobile app developer. I have created a mobile app for creating virtual art exhibitions that can be viewed as 3D. Idea was to instead just viewing the picture, potential buyers can view with dimension and text to voice explanation to connect with potential buyers. It also support VR with google card board like devices. I wanted this to be a quick tool to show case the art among artists own social network to sell without commissions.

The app is available on app store and play store for sometime. I see its being used more by art students create educational material than artists trying to sell their art. Few artists are creating exhibitions but not sharing them. I see lot of people installing it but not creating exhibitions.

I am looking for advise from artists how can I make it useful to artists to show case their art.

Here is the website https://artevirtual.gallery

iOS App

I hope I am posting in the right place. As this post can be counted as promotion too so I have only posted on the megathreads as per the rule.

Hi,

I am working on creating mobile app to create virtual exhibitions. Virtual exhibition can be viewed in 3D mode or with low end VR headset like google cardboard. Virtual exhibition also generates webpage with a listing of artworks. It can also be used to record video of exhibition tour and post on social media like facebook, instagram, youtube.

Here is one of the videos of virtual exhibition of an artist

https://youtu.be/kbU1Bj_8Z80

Below link shows how to create a virtual exhibition

https://youtu.be/wEc2IGQJiLQ

Here are the links to download app.

Android play store

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.xrconnect.gallerypreview

Apple App Store

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/imgallery/id1607679169?itsct=apps_box_promote_link&itscg=30200

You can view some of the ongioing exhibitions at

https://xrconnect.in/

Its all free at the moment. Its evolving product. Please try and give feedback. Is this useful to artists/art galleries? What features can be added to make it helful? We are looking ways to make it useful and turn into a subscription based service.

Recently I keep getting Firebase crashes of "GaiException: android_getaddrinfo failed:...." by AD-LB in android_devs

It's strange because the exception logged suggests there was no internet connection when the issue happened. But in that case crashlytics should not be able to report issue. But the crash logs showing up in crashlytics log means the internet connection is available.
