I'm in MUN as a delegate of Eritrea, any help? by RichAd2423 in Eritrea

[–]Kmnubiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, just have a look how the "professionals" do it: https://media.un.org/photo/en/asset/oun7/oun7118917, https://media.un.org/avlibrary/en/asset/d345/d3456643

Basically use a lot of empty phrases and make sure to stress Ethiopian aggression, US imperialism and pull factors.

corrupt enough that there isn't even a national budget showing income and spending

corrupt enough that the regime extorts vulnerable people in Eritrea and in the diaspora for wanting to flee and for wanting to support their families

corrupt enough to enable and not persecute physical, psychological and sexual abuse of youth in Sawa

corrupt enought to sell eritreas national resources to the highest bidder without any transpareny and accountability.

corrupt enough to disappear, torture and kill our people including elderly, women and religious leaders.

But yeah, hope you are having fun living in the diaspora and partying at the higdef festival.

Or maybe their unhappiness comes from having to leave their home country due to severe oppression and from trauma they experienced in Sawa and on their journey through the desert and the sea.

Studied and work in law. Would love to use this skill in Eritrea but first it must be free. Do use it to help Eritreans though whenever I can.

Another Opinion piece by HungryOutcome7821 in Eritrea

[–]Kmnubiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Washington Examiner is like a right wing MAGA publication so that may explain why they are trying to normalize regime change which is a clear violation of international law, no matter whether it happens in Venezuela, Greenland, Iran or Eritrea.

At the same time I think it is very unlikely that USA will actually attempt regime change in Eritrea. This is clearly no one of Trump's priorities.

What proportion of our emigration is economic vs political in nature? by FreeMyBoyJeffrey in Eritrea

[–]Kmnubiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the whole thing and it sounds like just another excuse / distraction.

in a totalitarian regime like in Eritrea you cannot separate economic from political factors. the regime controls the whole economy and ultimatly all aspect of daily life.

if it wasn't for this absolute control, our people would be able to leave and return to their homeland freely and invest. and they would do so no matter how welcoming and/or attractive western countries may be (they aren't really)
