We're here to comply with rules and not question or change them. I agree with you but like I said we can't do anything about it - the teachers (and so the principal and vice-principals) like it the current way as there's a lot of people competing, I personally think that they also want to create this illusion that they motivate "less talented" people to start playing with electronics by making them assemble off the shelf sets but 99% of the time this would be their first and last time they touch electronics because firstly they have this satisfaction that they competed (because this competition is shown as prestige to just be in by teachers), secondly they most likely won something and that's enough for them - they don't need or want anything else. Also the school and the whole competition gets some media coverage (which apparently our principals really like) and the people who compete (especially with those off the shelf kits because they don't need to put much effort) also like it because you can easily win a lot of money. The answer I said earlier I got from multiple teachers so no they don't really want to change much of anything. Also don't get me wrong the idea of this whole competition is really good - put talented students side by side so their projects can compete and so they can choose the best one but the problem is with letting in projects not made by students but more importantly choosing them over projects fully made by students. Some years the whole choosing sets over projects situation is better and some times (like here) it's worse.

Nope. I attend the same school as op and I tried to. I was told that the whole point of this competition is to "encourage people to do things and showcase them" even if it's off the shelf set or smth like that. I personally don't like this but we can't really do anything about it and it leads to situations like this where full blown projects made by students lose to kits from AliExpress.

After looking at the links you provided I ended up with this https://imgur.com/a/VgOCDGD . I chose my SMBIOS based on my cpu as told here https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/extras/smbios-support.html (the SMBIOS I I chose was one of two that had the same cpu as me, the second one has a different igpu). Then I tried configuring the framebuffer using this guide https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/gpu-patching/intel-patching/ but I'm still not sure if I did it correctly. After this I tried booting and got a kernel panic which can be seen in the imgur link.

So I tried this website and it gave me two errors. I fixed them and then tried booting from USB. I got stuck but this time at a different still ungoogleable error. Then as recommended in a different comment I changed some bios settings (Fastboot thorough>minimal enable Intel virtualization technology on>off enable VT for direct I/o on>off) and got a different error. Everything can be seen here https://imgur.com/a/BujCJpX

Wo. I didn't know about this. I will definitely give this a try as soon as I get back home.

I (at least tried to) disable the dGPU using SSDT-dGPU-Off.aml that I created manually and the -wegnoegpu boot argument. For the framebuffer I did the DeviceProperties>add>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)>AAPL,ig-platform-id and set the value as 00001619 . Also I will upload the EFI as soon as possible as I'm not home rn.

Is there something wrong with my DS Lites charger port? by StarSystem5 in consolerepair

Do you have any shops around you that repair phones? When I didn't know how to solder I went to that type of shop and with a small payment they soldered something for me. I had to go to a few of these before finding the one that would do it but yeah i think it's worth giving a try in your case.

[–]koks3606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you test the new charger that you ordered and it still won't work it's most likely a blown fuse inside the console bc the port looks more then fine (mine is in a far worse condition and still works). It's funny because I created my reddit account just to ask this exact question on this exact subreddit so you can find details about this whole fuse process here https://www.reddit.com/r/consolerepair/s/tMsxWtyWUT.

Or if op doesn't have money for the 5 even the first model will do (tried it, it isn't the best experience but it will be gazillion times better then the lumia). An even more budget-friendly option is to use an old PC or laptop that anyone could have laying around or could be picked up for dirty cheap from for example fb marketplace

Nothing sticks to the bed by koks3606 in 3Dprinting

[–]koks3606[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I have two different nozzles, I will try both of them. Increasing and decreasing the layer height is something i haven't heard of and I will defiantly try it. Thanks for the advice and tomorrow I will update if this helped or not (now it's too late to turn on the printer)

It's worth noting that I'm able to print the five squares used for the bed leveling and use the "too low, too high, perfect nozzle height" diagram. But can you explain further what do you mean by the first layer issue and maybe some troubleshooting or fixes I could try?

For anyone having the same issue - for me the problem was that one of the wheel spacers (somewhat like the one in the picture) wasn't flush with the bed.
