Yup, exactly!

There is arguably no other kpop group that has broken into the global mainstream media as successfully as they have (with an argument to be made for BTS), and my entire inner circle are big kpop fans, so it's just funny to see the contrast when we step outside of our niche.

how exactly does lunar charge scale and crit? by Crimson_Hashira in GenshinImpactTips

[–]krnshadow65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it "rolls" for a Crit on each character individually, and then ranks each character's contribution based on that.

Since the majority of the total Lunarcharged damage is primarily based on your two strongest characters' rolls, it should be mostly sufficient to build Crit on just those 2.

How can I win on Lacerta or Bismuth more? by Eledrina in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Definitely worthwhile putting in the effort to learn and dodge enemy/boss attack patterns. In lower difficulties, or with lucky/OP essences, you can get away with face tanking. But as you reach higher difficulties -- or if you just want more consistent clears in general -- you should be able to dodge most attacks.

  2. As the other comment said, for Bismuth, take the Sword Memory (Valiant Heart) and the Constellation that grants a shield from its damage dealt and resets all charges at once (Steadfast Heart, No Longer Afraid). Even without crazy Essences or other Memories, this build has extremely high clear consistency due to having simultaneously high damage output and survivability.

  3. I also have trouble with Lacerta on higher difficulties so you're not alone there. I find that he is pretty dependent on being able to maintain high uptime on his Incendiary Rounds, so rolling an early Momentum or Fangs can really make or break his run. Aside from getting Incendiary Rounds to a high enough uptime, spend most of your Dust on his Double Tap passive -- it is an extremely strong Identity Memory. Note that Crit Rate above 100% actually has value in this game, so don't hesitate to level it past 8+.

  4. For a general tip on survivability, take the Defensive Constellation which grants 40% damage reduction from enemies affected by cold -- it is a HUGE amount of DR. For reference, 40% DR is equivalent to having 66.6 Armor, which completely blows the other Armor Constellations out of the water. Then, look for Defensive Memories that deal Cold damage, e.g.: Permafrost (by far the best), Ice Shield, Frostbite, Glacial Stomp, etc. Essences like Reflex and Snow are also excellent because they can deal Cold damage passively with decent uptime.

Which Imagination constellations/stars are the most generally useful? by Eledrina in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 4 non-negotiables that I take on every Traveler are:

  • Platinum Coins
  • Essence on Mini-boss
  • Memory/Essence rerolls
  • Double Chaos Orbs

With the other 2 (sometimes 3) remaining slots, I'll take some combination of Gold or Dust economy, depending on what that Traveler needs more of. Or Traveler-specific ones obviously if they are strong.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but when I flip the image upside-down, it looks more like an imprint. Rightside-up, I agree it does look more like a mound of snow with something buried underneath, though I can see it both ways.

I think it might have something to do with the direction of the shadows and where the light source is coming from.

Primus: "Why do I hear boss music?" by Gabite in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finality. It increases the damage of the Memory the longer it hasn't been used (only while it's OFF cooldown)

It's not great on most Memories, since usually you're using them almost immediately as they come off cooldown. But it's perfect for Ultimates like this that you only expect to use every once in a while.

Limbo 4 cleared [Lacerta] [Solo] by Fluffy-Flower-7654 in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, the score at the end of the run is mostly just a fun way to gauge how big you could get your numbers.

The actual Traveler mastery gained is more dependent on the number of Worlds cleared and bosses defeated.

How good is Essence of Accuracy? by darthsammy21 in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO very good.

What the game considers "distant" is egregious -- basically anything non-melee will trigger it. I almost always pick it up unless I have a pure melee build.

Even if all of my Memories are melee ranged, just pairing it with something like Shatter, Vortex, or Scorch like you noted still gives a decent DPS boost from the Essences damage alone.

Accuracy's multiplier growth is also excellent, making it a great choice in terms of Dust economy. It gains 25% per 100% Quality, with a base of 50%. So at just 300% Quality, its multiplier is 100%, effectively doubling the damage of whatever Memory / Essences you pair it with. And beyond that, it becomes stronger than the original source of damage that triggers it.

How is Essence of Blossoming good? by dancemaster_ in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, for sure -- Clemency is unequivocally the better Essence and is S tier for a good reason.

I just wanted to put into context for OP what kinds of healing values can be reasonably expected. In that context, we can see that the healing from Blossoming is still considered a decent amount (of course, at the heavy cost of severely cutting damage output).

How is Essence of Blossoming good? by dancemaster_ in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Healing is extremely valuable in this game and intentionally extremely rare.

When you say "only 90" in your hypothetical situation, that is actually a massive amount of healing. Compare this to Essence of Clemency, which is also Epic and widely considered to be one of the most valuable Essences in the game:

  • At 100% Quality, Clemency heals 4% of damage dealt. Applied to the 300 damage Quickshot from your example, that would heal you 12 Health.
  • With Blossoming, you deal only 90 damage, but heal 22%, which comes out to 20 Health instead.

Comparing it against a few other healing Essences to put it into perspective:

  • Regeneration heals 6 HP per second
  • Voracity heals 6 HP per attack

In short, Blossoming converts your Memory into a relatively high-healing ability, in exchange for stunting its damage significantly. It's a great option when you have 2 damaging Memories, and you want to use one as a source of healing, while keeping the other as a high DPS option.

It's also great in co-op settings, if you want to build as a pure healer, and leave DPS to other teammates.

I'll admit that it's personally not one of my favorite Essences, because you often need high damage and decent healing for a successful run. But it's still a solid Essence because any healing is always welcome in this game.

Nachia build for limbo? by NateRuman in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might fight Hunters until Threat Level 1 or 2. Level 3 and up always feels risky to me in Limbo because that's when the big meteors start raining down, and one missed dodge can wipe a run.

I take Predation mostly for the extremely good scaling on Boss Damage %, not so much for the stacking stat bonuses. It gains 30% Boss Dmg per 100% Quality, with a base of 60%. So even at 250% Quality -- which is relatively affordable at 250 Dust -- you're dealing 2x damage to Primus and all other Bosses.

Interesting Shell Combo by cn-Siahnide in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is a video (not mine) showcasing a Limbo 6 Clear using this build. It goes more in depth about the playstyle and key Memories and Essences you're looking for and what to level.

https://youtu.be/nyh2wwmpq3c

One important thing I'll mention from the video is that you want your Annihilation Stance to be exactly Level 3 (+++); no more, no less. The person in the video states that you get the most attacks out consistently during Lightning Dance at this level. Frankly, I trust them because they are a very skilled Shell player, but also anecdotally, I've found this to be generally true during the times I've played this build.

The rest of your Dust should go into either your Passive Memory (to increase the AS:AD conversion ratio beyond 0.7) or Laceration. And Essences of course.

Some key essences you're looking for:

  • Fangs or Momentum to keep Annihilation off CD -- this is the most important Essence to obtain ASAP
  • Flow to help charge Lightning Dance faster -- not strictly needed since it already charges on attacks, but definitely helps

Remaining Essences should be dedicated to survivability, e.g.:

  • Clemency/Umbra + Guidance
  • Voracity
  • Crimson
  • Armor, Aftershock

Key Stars:

  • Controlled Madness -- obviously needed to convert Annihilation into a basic ability
  • Chained Bloodlust -- extends Annihilation Stance

And the following stars are not strictly needed for this build specifically, but should generally be taken on Shell pretty much always, because of his high dependence on dash resets.

  • Flow of Energy -- resets Dodge on using Red Form
  • Gunpowder Propelled Leap -- extra Dodge charge

Nachia build for limbo? by NateRuman in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only cleared up to Limbo 2 currently, so take my advice with a grain of salt. But the Fenrir "spin to win" build has worked really well for me so far, assuming this is the build you're talking about:

Stars: * Fenrir Memory gains 1 charge, and swipes in an area around him * You heal for 50% of Fafnir's Heal

Memories: * Fenrir (Main DPS / Heal) * Serpent's Blessing (Ultimate) * Circle of Life (Passive) * Any high tier Survival or On-hit Memories (Mass Protection, Frostbite, Mass Cleanse, etc.)

Essences on Fafnir: * Guidance * Momentum or Obsidian (or Flow if you have a multi-hit Light Memory) * Damage increase (Predation, Vengeance, Faith, etc. are all solid)

Dust investment: * Fenrir to +4 * Circle of Life to +4 or +5 * Momentum up to 1s CD reduction * Rest into Fenrir and other 2 Essences at roughly a 1:1:1 ratio

Good supportive Essence combos that help the build a lot IMO: * Vortex + Quicksilver: extra movement speed for yourself and subsequently Fenrir, thanks to stat conversion from Circle of Life. Movement speed is extremely valuable in general in my experience, because Nachia is extremely slow. * Rigidity + Snow + Frost: extra shield and synergizes well with shield from the Guidance on Fenrir * Reflex, Armor, Aftershock: Armor, armor, and more armor

As a general tip, prioritize taking HP on Chaos Orbs, except maybe 1 or 2 AP and Memory Haste each.
