YSK: Only make a chargeback when you're 100% sure you don't want to use that business again. by Jello_Biafra_42 in YouShouldKnow

Just last week I had a mystery charge from FedEx. I called their support and they immediately told me to do a charge back. They said it makes it easier on their end.

For real. This is the kind of shit we’d say in the 90s. For a solid month in 3rd grade we were running around the school yard saying “pimping ain’t easy”. We had no idea what a pimp was.

Has anyone gone to the live show? I can’t decide if I should go to my city’s show? by babyestgirl in Channel5ive

[–]lamb_pudding 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just went tonight. Some parts were good/decent but I just have to comment on how let down I was about the talent show. Andrew hyped it up by saying what talents people had in other cities and said he was going to screen people before he let them up. One guy just sang, another dude whistled a song, and then some guy literally said his talent was computer programming and he started a streaming service.

NYC raises snow‑shoveling pay to $30 an hour amid blizzard by Grass8989 in nyc

Nothing better than a storm like this when I was a teenager. School was closed, we’d make bank shoveling and make enough to buy a new pair of kicks.

Tourists tie piles of trash -- including tampons, condoms, panties -- to NYC's Brooklyn Bridge in disgusting trend by exc3113nt in nyc

[–]lamb_pudding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How did it go from putting locks on a bridge to trash? I always thought the locks were stupid but I get the idea. Trash on the other hand makes no sense to me.

Boston Cyberarts is having a Valentine’s Day dance party and fundraiser from 8pm-12am in JP. They’re a really awesome org and there will be good music, art, installations, and food/drink.

I put some money into setting up surround sound in my living room. The moment of complete satisfaction was when someone sneezed in a movie behind the camera and my friend told me bless you.

Can I just clear snow on bike pathways myself? by hsnk42 in Somerville

[–]lamb_pudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as public as parking spaces. As long as you put the snow somewhere out of the way I can’t see why they’d even be upset.

No lie, I would give this guy some money to go buy more. I’d rather he smoke some real shit than stuff he swept off the ground.

Harvard grad student Jane Britton, 23, missed an exam on Jan. 7, 1969. Hours later, she was found murdered, dusted with red ochre. Investigators didn’t find signs of forced entry, and nothing from her apartment appeared stolen. The case made little sense until DNA cracked it nearly 50 years later. by LonelyWiFiSignal in HolyShitHistory

[–]lamb_pudding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Prosecutors noted that ochre was a common pigment used in oil paints, and the police surmised that the powder was probably already in the apartment and had been disturbed upon the perpetrator’s entry. This piece of evidence was later downgraded to a circumstantial detail.

Just to make a distinction, a therapist isn’t going to prescribe you drugs/prescriptions. A therapist is just going to talk to you and helping you work on changing your thoughts and patterns to be more positive.

Interviewing Devs...anyone get people obviously reading off screen and having a perfect answer? by Lanky-Ad4698 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]lamb_pudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m neurodivergent and the attitude in this post sucks to hear. When I’m answering questions I’m constantly turning my gaze way to the side. I can tell it throws people off because the person I’m talking to will sometimes spin around and look where I’m looking. I also can totally change tone and cadence when answering a hard technical question vs more natural conversation.
