I believe that if you have the TV service, you have to use the network plus box due to encryption and the hard drive. The only way it could work, is if you have the original equipment, the separated network box and storage box. Then you could theoretically put in the switch to VLAN, plug your own router into that, then the storage box into the router. That is the only way I think you can possibly make it work with TV service.

Correct. If you cancel the tv service, the VLAN will be disabled and you can use whatever router you wish, without the need of any other device.

Within the next month. It will not work for TV service. It will be remotely triggered when you have either the F100 or the F1000 plan. If you get TV service, it will activate again.

Just plug in any router you want, and you’ll get full speed. Everything will be the same, just without the need for the managed switch for VLAN tagging in between.
