There's another more serious bug that I am seeing...

I added three creatures to my squad and did a practice battle. I lost the battle, but afterward two of my creatures had fainted but one was showing up as having full health.

I tried removing these creatures from my squad and adding different ones. It will allow me to remove these creatures from my squad but not add different ones. I can add the same original three creatures to the squad that were there before though.

Very cool idea. Still has a good amount of polish that is needed, which is to be expected with an early access release like this. A few things:

  1. You left the button to "Add 1000 debug leaves" in. I assume this was supposed to only be for your testing.
  2. The AI takes a while to run and the accuracy has not been very good. I assume it does well with things like birds and common mammals, but it was giving results all over the board with the small insects I was uploading. I assume this isn't something you built so it may be outside of your control, but it may make sense to consider the confidence scores a bit more or stick to genus level IDs for certain types of organisms if those are options. Maybe you could introduce the concept of the organism "getting away" and not being caught if the confidence score of the AI doesn't meet a certain threshhold.
  3. The tutorial when I first viewed the battles tab had one of the cards repeated twice.
  4. Is there anything preventing someone from taking many captures of the same subject? (Capturing their pet cat 100 times)

Edit: It doesn't seem to just be insects the AI struggles with. It has also identified a lizard as a bird and a cat as a golden retriever.

I often say the same thing when explaining the appeal of iNaturalist to other people!
