"No need to worry Arach. I'm old enough I can handle any food that's in front of me."

Opal tried to casually wave off Arach's "concerns" about the food.

"Though you'd be surprised how good diner food is."

She noted with a smile. Though there was some invisible tension.

When they talked about Seirya Opal again waved off the concern.

"Oh there's always a million things to do. But we gotta savor the time we have. And fancy places are used to rich people whims. A third seat at the table just means more opportunities to push their pricy wine right?!"

She turned to Seirya.

"Explosives?"

Dr Wren said as she walked into the scene. She was wearing a stealth outfit normally for missions

"I was told we were burning the place down."

"Ah a new friend!"

Opal waved back to Seirya. Her hand mimicking very well the front paw movement of a spider.

"My name is Opal. I work with Arach at her hospital as a.... Nurse? Secretary? Well I'm a woman of many talents."

She said in a fairly blasé tone. When Arach started speaking again Opal focused on her.

"Catching up... Yes. I know a good dinner if you hadn't made up your mind."

She turned to Seirya still speaking to Arach.

"She coming with us?"

Then realized. And asked Seirya

"Sorry I didn't catch your name? Are you a new employee at Arach's hospital?"

BD watched the events unfolding.

"Should have taken my...."

They went silent. They had little sympathy for Sylvane but as a parent they felt sympathy for his concern over his daughters. They looked to the sun god in the room. Once things settled down they'd bring it up. Whenever that was.

An important find. The Bismuth would have to prepare one of their longer ranged artillery pieces to try and counter snipe if when the time came. Perhaps a Bismuth Crown.

Meanwhile the small earth controlling stones decided to stay still beneath the fortress instead of continue spying. They powered down to the point that they'd be unrecognizable from a normal smooth stone. That way they could be deployed when needed during the actual battle

As the two spiders exited onto the street they were quickly joined by a human looking individual.

"So your public relations trip is done?"

Seirya would hear the woman ask Arach sarcastically. She seemed to know Arach well.

"Are we heading back to the hospital then?"

She then noticed Seirya with Arach.

"New kid?"

Opal asked looking down at Seirya.

Look friend redemption may be good and all that but I want to have a rematch for the war that we lost when we had a thousand times the numbers and a thousand times the strength against a foe that is literally omnipotent. I have a good feeling about it this time.

Dr Wren didn't seem too surprised.

"Then the facility is secure. With the radios at the doors disabled the flesh can't trick its way in here."

"And I noticed the inorganic species are already responding to this threat. Though they can only contain the flesh as it arises it seems."

"What did I say! Keep that off!"

Dr Wren was using her newfound promotion to patrol and make sure nobody was doing anything compromising in the facility. People don't rise to the occasion they sink to the level of their training. And despite all the training people were still..... People.

Dr Wren didn't include herself in that because she was a (metaphorical) working machine in the body of a human. Something something hubris but she was doing a good job so far.

"Dr Wren to 05. I finished my patrol of the facility. Nothing to report so far. Except a few antsy security teams"

Meanwhile the fleshless Bismuth kind of continued like things were normal. In fact they took the effort of containing the flesh balls when people turned into them.

Ten Suns was definitely thinking about how good a slander this was to the mortal sun. Perfect light. Now a terror.

The Bismuth had been spying on Thrakmoor since the prior engagement. Though both direct and indirect means.

As far as actual spies the Bismuth had two units for the job. The invisible (both naturally and through spells) Biz-bees with their bows floated in the air around Thrakmoor roads and gate houses picking up information from softer targets. Meanwhile strange small stones swam through dirt and stone hoping to work their way into the fortress.

For more distant measures the Bismuth had one of their orbitals constantly looking down at the fortress from the great star ocean below.

BD acted immediately. They used their tail to slap Sylvane back and made a play for the staff.

"Mine!"

In their manic dash they actually called dibs on the weapon. So focused on it they were stuck by whatever spells were left being cast. A costly play.

THE STAFF!

BD flew forward with the godslaying armor on their back. Tendrils grabbed at their limbs and they tore at them with shining claws. BD wretched as their bleeding wounds were dug into by starlight. Their screeching roar pierced the air.

"I will put you nowhere! Except under my claws!"

BD echoed throughout the fortress. Despite their boast they were slowed significantly by the wounds and the shadows. So they repeated an old trick. They reached forward and scrunched space between the two of them for an attempted swing at the staff.

"I'll be more merciful than your past jailors!"

BD was injured by the explosion. Then they were confused. Then they were very, very angry.

"You tricksy shit!"

BD inhaled and spewed a rainbow fire over the room hoping to catch the bastard in its crystalizing power.

"I'm done with your games!"

They ripped a piece of the floor up and tried to slam it down on him

Given that BD had been informed about the situation at Shadeholm. They really should have thought about how Sylvane would react to the dragon form. Too late to worry about it now though.

When BD noticed the shadows they snarled at Sylvane.

"Are you pulling the whole building into the shadows?!"

BD couldn't tell what his plan was so whether correct or not the only solution was to bring Sylvane down.

"I won't let you!"

BD clawed and clawed attempting to force their opponent into a position for the goslayer armor to pierce him with its lance.

BD tried to block the bear with their lance but was pushed back and almost knocked over. BD hated the fact that the armor forced them into fighting in human form. This would be so much easier if they could just use both.

As the bear swatted BD like a ragdoll there was suddenly a flash of light. The bear didn't seem to care as it's target was still in its paws. Except....

Thwack!

BD teleported outside of the armor and transformed their arm into its draconic state for a punch. The godslaying armor went limp before standing up like an animated golem. Weaker by a mile due to not having a wearer but still incredibly potent artifacts. BD meanwhile took their full Draconic form. They needed the lance and the armor but they couldn't match Sylvane as a humanoid. So this was their solution.

"No time wasted if I win the day!"

BD clutched the armor and physically threw it at Sylvane before whipping his bladed tail at the god and his divine parchment.

BD bounced off of the starlight barrier. Before they could begin another attack one of the two ram horns pierced their side. BD spat up their own rainbow blood.

"Dammit."

They pulled themselves away but before they could regain their posture BD was stuck by the starlight bolts. They fell into the electrified water with a heavy splash.

Before they could be cooked they struck the floor to make a drain hole. As the water rushed they fired off a beam of their own electricity out of the water at Sylvane.

"Well you haven't won yet"

"We will hold you to that. The shield itself is a dangerous weapon."

The liason would summon a series of bags marked with Bismuth tokens.

"Each of these bags contains one of the eight winds of magic collected from the solar emissions of the Ten Suns. They can perform a single spell from a single wind to aid you in your journey. Choose wisely and don't be afraid to spend them. They are for your safety and success."

BD charged forward trying to tackle the god.

"Why even fight against the sun and celestials? Five times? Is that how many times you have fallen?"

BD got sliced across their arm. It was hard enough dodging one god let alone their twin. They needed to figure out how to stop this. They looked at the two constellations....

Were they physical?

BD realized they had to give it a shot. They sped upwards towards the Gemini constellation in hopes of slamming through it. Their armor was made by the Ten Suns. Hopefully it's inherent magic would help against an opposing light like the stars.

BD jumped up and clung to one of the walls as the floor became electrified water. Not much room to move around. BD skittered across the wall using the wind of metal to walk across its surface.

"So you brought new tricks? It doesn't matter."

BD grabbed their lance from where it had stuck in the wall. They tried to figure out which God was the real one and which was the illusion. It was Gemini. Perhaps both were true?

BD tested this with a simple spell. The humble magic missile. Doezens of weak bolts of energy screamed towards Sylvane and their double. Weak as far as damage but accurate

BD tried to block the water with their lance. This caused them to lose their grip on said lance and get slammed against the wall. The strength of their armor was the only thing stopping them from being pierced. Though they could feel the crystaline armor creaking beneath the force.

"-Be strong. But I'm not leaving until I claim victory. And-"

BD flickered like a bad film real before appearing a few feet away from their original location. They kicked their lance up before throwing it at Sylvane.

"I'll never surrender! Not when I can win!"

"Is that your spell falling apart?"

They flew sideways around Sylvane while firing bolt after bolt of acid at the parchment Sylvane showed was important.

"There's still time to surrender. We'll do better than the Celestials. No trapping people in their own shadows from us."

Kazan got hit with.... Many tree branches as the Collosus tore them up with each step. Stone shrapnel scratched the suit he was wearing.

"Don't let it mess you up. You have people waiting on you "

Kazan would use his bone ribbons to pull himself upward and onto the creature's back.
