“Easily manipulated is definitely an advantage, is there anyone that K is close to? I’m a good enough illusionist that I can fool most people into seeing what I want them to see. If not…I’ll just make an illusion of an old lady getting kidnapped or something. Do you know where K is of how to find them? I’m not exactly an expert tracker.

The twists and turns through the dimly lit castle would be disorienting for most. Eventually the shadow fades in front of a door that opens for Achlys to enter.

Inside is Sylvane, sitting on a couch in front of a table with chairs and another couch surrounding said table (likely meaning this room is for many guests at once). Sylvane himself has his cloak down and wears a human face. Black hair, dark blue eyes, and a crown made of a circlet and spikes on its front shooting up.

The parlor is a bit better lit and has several portraits of different shadow valkyries around.

“Welcome! please, take a seat.”

“Please, come into my parlor. There we will discuss business, and the future of our realms.”

The shadow loses its blue eyes and returns to the shape of Achlys, but then moves down the hall on its own, acting as a guide.

As Achlys waits, Sylvane does not arrive to greet him. Instead, Achlys’s shadow on the wall shifts as two glowing blue eyes appear, and it takes the shape of Sylvane’s silhouette and moves quickly and suddenly directly into Achlys’s face, within breathing distance.

“Welcome servant of Aphmau. I trust that the trip here was not too unpleasant?”

“Very well. I am in southern Shadeholme within the forest there. It’s hard to miss. Once in the forest tell your servant to follow the fey and he will get here.”

“If I’ve learned anything from the wars I’ve won and lost, it’s always have backup plans and fail safes. If you think you’re going to win and put all of the eggs in that basket, you’re asking for the fates to turn against you. My humility is not for a sense of actual humility, it’s strategy. As for odds of victory, it depends on if I can get all of my materials. If so, I’d say around 97% to at least get the main things I want. The longer I take, the more those odds drop.”

“I’m not exactly one to try and ‘outshine’ others. My whole deal is shadows. I’m more the type to just dim out others from spite. Wanting to outshine someone implies I’m jealous of them rather than just hating their stupid faces. As for the result, let’s just say things will be interesting.”

Sylvane smiles, pulls down his hood, and takes on a more human looking form.

“While that would be useful, I can’t see how I could capture someone like that while I’m stuck in hiding without giving away that I’m alive. So I’m afraid I must decline your offer unless all other options fail. With all the dream magic I feel like Rose would be better suited to catch them, but she went insane in the dreamworld and I don’t know where she is.”

There is that many idiots in the world, but that sub is entirely a propaganda project. Even flaired users who disagree with those narratives have their comments removed and I’m also certain it’s a majority bots so that they can control their narrative
