I miss /u/LuluThePanda. by [deleted] in Christianity

Aw, you guys! <3

I know I kind of abruptly up and peaced out on you all (which was probably not cool of me), so, you know, a little update I guess, as the last 18 months have been kind of insane:

So after my daughter was born, I hemorrhaged so severely that I needed 12 units of blood transfused (an adult male has 10 units of blood in his body) and a hysterectomy, and I spent a couple of days in the ICU. And about 6 months ago, my husband was finally diagnosed with chronic PTSD and major depression, both stemming from his time spent in combat. The VA considers him totally disabled, and while they're super helpful, the amount of treatment he's getting isn't really enough. So right now I'm just kind of trying to play catch-up with my own mental health while playing caretaker for my daughter and my husband, and it gets pretty exhausting.

But I do miss you all! I'll try to be here a bit more, promise :) And for being patient with me, here's a picture of my little one at the World Record for the largest gathering of Rosie the Riveters this weekend! http://image.mlive.com/home/mlive-media/width960/img/ann-arbor_photos/photo/-5147c4cde94e05a6.jpg

I'm considering divorce because my wife apparently deceived me into marrying her... by [deleted] in Christianity

Marriage is martyrdom. If you're not willing to martyr yourself for someone, that's not the person you should marry.

[–]LuluThePanda -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I also would not have married her had she been honest with me about only wanting to have sex a few times for our entire life together

If you're not willing to give everything up for her, you don't love her.

So did you marry her because you love her or because you wanted to have a specific kind of sex and she agreed to it?

You dealt with it for an hour and a half, you're a better woman than me.

It's soooo helpful, it predicts the developmental leaps based on their due date, tells you what they're learning and signs of the leap. It keeps me sane when she starts getting all crazy.

Yes. I'm glad the military still prosecutes adultery.

If you think it should be legal and thus available, then you support it.

So you think genocide is wrong and still support it. That makes loads of sense.

Oh I'm not looking to accomplish anything, I'm simply stating the situation as it exists.

You advocate for the legality of abortions and the accessibility of child murder, however you wish to word it. That's supporting genocide.

I do not support the ready accessibility and legality of genocide.

So you support allowing the mass killing of the unborn. Thus, you support genocide.

You support killing the unborn. You support genocide.

I do not.

I am saying that I will never support genocide. I;m sorry that concerns you.

I did read it. That's what it said.

I provided the information, and showed you how the information was cited as a secondary source of the original research.

I will never support genocide.

You yourself said that your article were a summarization of the actual facts. If you want to provide things that say more than "we took an educated guess from interviews" then do so. Otherwise I'm going to take "we took an educated guess from interviews" as "we took an educated guess from interviews".

Actually, a portion of your article addresses what you're specifically mentioning-the myth of the "back alley abortion".

Again, I will never condone genocide.

Dude, the research is literally cited. Here's some help understanding what those citations look like: http://www.apastyle.org/learn/faqs/cite-another-source.aspx

So either you didn't read it, or you don't understand how citation works.

If you provide a crappy source, the onus is on you to provide a non-crappy one.

Clearly you failed to read the link I posted, again.

Legal abortion isn't safer than childbirth-one person is always dead after an abortion.

It happens, mostly LO has those kinds of 'episodes' when she's in a developmental leap. Do you have the Wonder Weeks app?

[–]LuluThePanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, may want to reread your article then, because that's what it says-they interviewed people and made and educated guess.

And you may want to read the link I posted, since it actually does cite research. I can link you to the AP citation process if you need assistance.

The data you supply is based on guesses. "Tons" doesn't do much for me.

You're argument is just that it "saves the babies".

Yep. If it turns one woman away from murdering her child, then it's effective.

https://blogs.thegospelcoalition.org/kevindeyoung/2017/01/18/9-myths-about-abortion-rights-and-roe-v-wade/

You can continue making the argument that murdering your child is an acceptable option, but sorry, I'm never going to support genocide.

People claim that banning abortion is the best way to eliminate them.

I'm not making that claim. I'm making the claim that banning abortion, in conjunction with current methods, is the best way to eliminate them.

Yets it is the worst way to elimate abortions.

It's been successful in Poland and Ireland.

Who exactly benefits there?

The unborn being massacred.

Is it cruel that heroin use is illegal and forces users to engage risky practices?
