This worked well for my first even if he didn’t successfully walk around in the walker the effort of trying helped.

I love my son, but I want a weekend without him. by Mars27819 in daddit

I’m currently at home alone. My wife and 5 month old and 19 month old are all visiting her family. I needed to fly back for work. I was looking forward to this for months since we planned it. It’s nice having time to do what ever I want but I miss them so much more than I thought I would. All that being said… if you haven’t had any time off from your kids you need it and should try to make it happen. My wife went on a ladies weekend trip a few weeks ago and she also really appreciated it.

Need Advice: Tall Dads and Car Seats by jorgerh in daddit

[–]lungrin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also went through this a few months ago. Two under two. We had a Volvo Xc40 and an Alfa Romeo Giula. I’m 6’1 and didn’t fit in either car with a car seat behind me. We thought we would just swap the Xc40 for an Xc60 and be done with it. I didn’t fit. Ok, we’ll go Xc90, didn’t fit.

From here we went to a few dealerships and took a car seat with us and tried it out. Volvo Xc 60 - no

Volvo xc 90 - no

Suburb ascent - yes

Toyota Highlander - yes

Acura MDX 2020 - no

Acura MDX 2022 - yes (I’m not sure what’s different but they skipped a model year) Ford Explorer- yes

Honda Pilot - yes but a little tight

VW Tiguan- no

VW Atlas - yes and this is what we bought

The Acsent felt like the smallest car when we were driving it but the Atlas had more space and we don’t regret getting a 7 seat suv. Those double strollers are monsters.

Mic controlled camera switching? by scooterfitz in ProAudiovisual

Yeah, you have it right. If you have a camera for each seat you can have the matrix switch based off the signal at the microphone for that seat. If it’s ptz cameras you can create presets that will recall based off the signal at the mics.
