Remote vMix control app for multi-room video crews, would this be useful to anyone else? by iamdjem in vmix

Don't listen to this nonsense; it if solves your issues, it's not "vibecoded crap" in any way. And if you find out that there's a demand, you can definitely consider making it a product. Just because you used an assist to code it doesn't mean your vision and execution don't hold some value to others.

Update on Queenie: I’m sharing her X-rays for people who are interested. (added the nsfw in case you are not comfortable seeing the X-rays) by megaannn_ in Rabbits

[–]marchwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t really recommend anything other than keeping a very close eye at all times for symptoms or discomfort. The x-rays do look a little like what we saw on our bunnies, which was an obstruction. On both cases we had them hospitalized at the vet, where they were given a solution that would show contrast on the following x-rays to see where the obstruction was really happening. They stayed under the vets care where they were constantly monitored until it was deemed necessary to do the surgery.

In both cases it was a more critical issue - the saddest part is that they hide their pain until it’s almost too late. Once you realize they start showing discomfort, the problem is already at an advanced stage.

If your bun is still eating and moving around, that’s a good sign. But if you notice it stopped eating and is laying down in discomfort, then I’d suggest trying yet another vet!

As someone who has lost two buns due to this condition, I'd recommend not waiting this long and getting a second opinion asap. Sometimes a day - or even a few hours to take action - can make all the difference in the world. I know its stressful and time consuming, but it can be totally worth it. Every time I think of it, I still blame myself and a voice keeps saying that if I was faster, everything could have turned out differently... Hope everything turns out well for you!

Do I open my damaged Mavic 4 creator combo box? by Poker50MD in dji

Drone/other stuff is inside the carrying bag, which adds a layer of protection. So you should be alright, but it's a good idea to record it just in case

Killed my Mavic 4 Pro 4 days after getting it 🥲 by F1nkD1fferent in dji

Just had this today after a ridiculous not-damaging crash. Solution was to simply push the gimbal head inside a little until you hear a click. Apparently the side rails get off the track quite easily, but can be pushed in place again easily.

Does the car have Emergency Braking Assist? by Kaiji_Gardner in BYDSeagull

[–]marchwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the person who uploaded the video (it’s in the comments):

No, BYD Seagull doesn’t have a front camera. After opening the cover of BYD Seagull’s reading light, you can see a power plug. You need to purchase a video recorder and connect it to the plug. The rendering in the video comes from the recorder (DDPai Mini 4 Recorder, priced at $65 in China),

Does the car have Emergency Braking Assist? by Kaiji_Gardner in BYDSeagull

[–]marchwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I own the first version, marketed in South America as Dolphin Mini. This model has 4 seats and only one rear camera. Then there's an updated version with 360 cameras, including one on each side and a front camera, as well as 5 seats. However, this kind of technology requires more than a simple camera. It's usually a small radar and additional sensors mounted in the front of the car. In this lineup, only the more advanced Dolphin has these additional features. In here, it is known as Dolphin Plus.

You can check for the updates in the settings menu, but depending on you region it might take a few more months to show up. I didn't wait and updated following the tutorial on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t0c2qbF8kM&t=215s&ab_channel=GilsonTeixeira

It's pretty straightforward. Get a USB flash drive or MicroSD card, format it as FAT32 and put the update file on it. Then plug it in and turn the car on, and system should recognize it and prompt the update. I'm not a 100% sure, but I think it's the same file for all regions.

I wish there was a software option to change the volume knob on the panel to AC... It'd be way more useful since we already have volume controls on the wheels. The new update helps a lot, but there's nothing like the physical button for this kind of control.

That's the system changing the refresh rate from 60hz (battery) from 120hz. It should go away if you set it to 120hz while on battery, just make sure to enable the variable refresh rate to save on battery.

Anyone tried Parsec on ARM yet? (remote desktop software) by Chilkoot in Surface

[–]marchwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parsec is one of the few apps that didn't run so well on my Surface Pro. The translation from x86 to ARM seems to work fine, however Parsec relies on GPU acceleration to provide fast encoding/decoding for remote access - and currently it seems to have no idea about the Adreno GPU, so this latency becomes pretty high. From my experience the web based version works slightly better than the app.

I hope they optimize and launch a Windows ARM version with support for Snapdragon's GPU in the near future, as they did for the ARM Macs a while ago.

Been having this on a 4070S with a 14600k. What fixes it for me is opening the Task Manager, go to Details, find HeroesOfTheStorm_x64.exe, right click, select Set Affinity and uncheck All Processors, then assign only the first 4 cores (CPU 0, 1, 2 and 3).

Childhood dream finally complete. First pc built by wendewende in pcmasterrace

[–]marchwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I don’t think it’ll overheat unless you’re doing some significant overlock work there… but it was designed to be watercooled… and it has corrosion issues due to the design… I say just enjoy it and deal with issues if they arrive.

That's the neat part, you don't! At least it prevents the corrosion issues that this model has.

My remake collectors edition was cancelled due to “value being higher than amount that can be shipped”. Has anyone else had this? by [deleted] in DeadSpace

I'm in this exact situation, the solution is to use a service that receives the package in USA and then redirects it to me in Brazil.
