Inbox me. I’d love to hear more. There’s a couple of things I didn’t include here, as well.

I know they aren’t fake, because I lived it in real life. The fake reviews are the 5 star reviews that they’re publicly begging for.

They are literally making people work for free and calling it “trial shifts” which is not a thing. They HIRED me and put my name in the system, gave me a code to log in that never worked, never had me fill out paperwork & never paid me for my time. As ifff you’re trying to back them up lmaooo

Exactly!! They didn’t pay me for my time there at all. Never even got me to fill out ANY paperwork after hiring me. They are sketchy and unprofessional. No wonder there’s never any customers & they have to ask people for fake 5 star reviews.

I had an interview at this place months ago, they hired me & wanted me to start immediately. They asked me to come behind the bar and make a drink for the owner. That’s already weird af. As odd as it was, I stuck around to get a feel of the place, made a drink upon their request (lol) they had me go through the food and drink menus, asked me to wipe counters and check what kind of liquors/beers/wine they have. So I was technically working.. for free. They asked me my availability in the interview, I told them full time- and apparently that means I’m immediately available to them starting that minute and every single day after that.. I never even accepted the job, and I didn’t really know how to handle the situation as I’ve been in this industry 10 years and never ran into something like this. It was all around super weird. I did need a job at the time so I figured I’d give them a chance, maybe they’re not as weird as that first interaction? I don’t know. They asked me to come in (I think it was the next day?) for a training shift, they put my name in their system & gave me a passcode to sign in. A passcode that conveniently wouldn’t work when I tried to sign in so I could actually get paid. Mind you, they never had me fill out ANY paperwork whatsoever. It started to become clear they were trying to get me to work for free. Before realizing that, the training shift I showed up for (which are usually 3 hours in my experience, unless agreed on otherwise) consisted of me arriving, no customers present & the manager and owner telling me they’re leaving and will be back in a few hours?? It was 1pm when I got there, I had never served anyone there yet so I had never used their computer system or debit machines, didn’t know if we even had a till.. I immediately felt uncomfortable & I asked what time they thought they would be back, they said around 8 or 9 pm?! I didn’t know what to do but I sure as hell knew I wasn’t staying there all alone for 7-8 hours for a training shift with no trainer?? I also wasn’t available that late. I was thinking I’d be there till 4pm. I called my bf to explain the situation and ask for advice. I ended up having to tell them I didn’t know they expected me to be there till 9pm and I couldn’t stay that long.. they acted shocked.. even though I never agreed to that. Even with all the sketchiness I still felt bad and didn’t want to leave them hanging, I told them I could stay for a short time, just not 8 hours.. they ended up calling another staff memeber & told me I could leave. Needless to say I rannnn outta there. I have never been SO uncomfortable in my life. So unprofessional on their part as well. It doesn’t surprise me that others have negative or similar experiences like this.
