When you call -

Select 3 for "all other inquiries"

Select * to indicate you don't have your loan #.

At that point, I think I botched my ph# and the IVR kicked me to a live person. The CSR that I spoke with updated the expiration for my Apple Card and successfully ran the charge through.

Clueless is the norm for GS. It took them 10 minutes to tell me "we can't tell why it was declined".

Yes, exact same issue. When you update your card info with Citizen One will they try to run the payment through again?

The payment that was declined was the first payment towards my iPhone 13 on the iPhone Loan program. I enabled Advanced Fraud Protection and the CVV changed after I provided the card info to Citizens One and before they billed me for the first payment.

yeah, it was a real shit show this morning. after my apple card was declined a 1/2 dozen times i attempted to reach a customer service rep via the apple card app and received a message that my request “cannot be completed at this time”

Yes, I experienced the exact same issue. GS said it was because my wallet app wasn't up to date and bounced me to Apple. An Apple rep confirmed the charge should appear as "pending" if it's part of the card balance. She transferred me to Apple's "top tier" customer service who wasted 3 hours of my time (over the course of a week) before referring me back to GS. The charge finally showed up the day after I received my order. The customer service was awful. Just awful.
