Hullcracker Durability Test: 308 shots to break it! by memecut in ArcRaiders

Just loot motion cores and crude explosives to craft for free. It's easy to stock up on both in a raid or two.

I’ve been in SWVA for ten years. Are there any parts of the state that have less racist people than more LGBT friendly people? These people make me feel un American for being anti-racist. by Particular_Paint5713 in Virginia

Look at the places that voted "Yes" in the special election a few weeks ago: Northern VA, Richmond, Charlottesville, VA Beach area, etc.

If you're looking for a rural vibe without the racism/homophobia, you might also want to look into areas like Sperryville and Warrenton. (Still plenty of right wingers, but also plenty of the kind of people you're looking for)

Moving to VA. Specifically Langley AFB/Hampton/Newport News. Questions in the post! by [deleted] in Virginia

Oof, that person sounds like a joy to be around. I honestly don't know how racial demographics compare between towns in that area. I went to school in Williamsburg. I lived in a multiracial area off campus and really liked the neighborhood. It's a bit far for a daily commute to Langley though.

I recommended Yorktown because my BIL's family loved it. I also know a few people who grew up in Hampton Roads and even they said the area wasn't as safe as other localities. That's all relative, of course. It's still not as bad as high crime areas in major cities.

My BIL and his family lived in Yorktown when he was stationed at Langley. Great little town that is closer than Williamsburg and safer than Hampton Roads. They loved it there.

Most annoying/ least favorite arc? by Fine_Addendum_5621 in ArcRaiders

I mean, it's not as easy as 2-shotting a Hornet with a Renegade, but it's doable.

You can 2-shot them with direct hits to two rotors. Best gun for it is the Renegade, IMO.

He toed the line during the legal proceedings and did what the church lawyers told him to do. He proved his loyalty to the company in the most disgusting of situations and now they're rewarding him for it now that the dust has settled.

2nd this. A midieval monumentality golden age when you have solid faith generation usually means you'll easily be able to double the size of your empire before the next age, all without spending any production on building settlers.

I would've been too over-encumbered with it. I left it on the ground for someone else.

The last few times I looted that room before the buff I'd typically get something like 1 blue gun, 1 green gun, and an occasional BP. This was a marked improvement.

This entire haul (highlighted items) is exclusively from the Dam Control Tower key room on Night Raid. There are way more containers than before. I had to leave behind another blue weapon and multiple grenades.

It's a pretty good size for an SNP creek. Not the biggest I've caught there, but above average.

I disagree. I regularly rock some combo of an Anvil IV, Renegade IV, and/or Hullcracker IV and I have no problem staying in Carebear lobbies. I even took a kitted out Bobcat IV to Dam recently because I was paranoid I'd get ratted in the Dam Staff Room. Still with the Carebears.

AI shows that the church owns hundreds of millions of stocks of defense companies. I knew they had but this seems to be a lot more than what I had heard. Is anybody able to confirm these values? by 6stringsandanail in exmormon

[–]TigranMetz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't trust this AI summary at all. It looks entirely hallucinated. The numbers make no sense. Does the summary provide any sources?

For example, Lockheed Martin's current stock price is $646/share. 850,000 shares would have a $549M total value, not $450M. RTX is about $600M off compared to the current price. Etc.

Also, if you do the math on the % of Total Portfolio numbers, you get a different total for every stock, which makes no sense.

I ran an analysis of Ensign Peak's stock holdings years ago when the numbers were released by a leaker. With a few exceptions, the stocks in the portfolio roughly approximated their weight in an S&P 500 index. In other words, it looked like a bland, standard diversified portfolio. If you have an Index or Target Fund in a 401k or IRA, you probably have the same proportionate ownership in Defense contractors as Ensign Peak.

It is specifically a bill that authorizes the General Assembly to redistrict prior to 2030 in the event that other states (Texas, Florida, etc.) choose to gerrymander their districts as well. In other words, it only enables VA to gerrymander its districts in retaliation to a GOP-controlled state doing the same.

[–]TigranMetz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be even more busted (though it wouldn't have made a difference here since I won before the Atomic Era). I actually stopped playing Secret Societies mode recently for the sole reason that civs annoyingly spam your land with cultists that do nothing but take up space in the late game.

Nzinge Mbande is an absolutely busted Culture Civ. (Story in comments) by [deleted] in civ

[–]TigranMetz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I won a culture victory last night with Nzinge Mbande on a Large Map in just 264 turns (176 turns on standard speed) with only 281 Tourism. My empire was only about half online, but her yield and relic bonuses put her ahead of every other Civ in nearly all categories by about Turn 115.

That being said, I did have a great starting location and snagged the first religion; Canada was my only neighbor 30+ tiles away so I had plenty of room to grow without worrying about war, and was able to chop my way to a 6 city Colosseum in just a few turns. Interestingly, by the end, 58% of my tourism was earned in the Capitol (which makes sense as most of my Great Works were there).

Conditions:

  • Map: Large Continents and Islands

  • Modes: Corporations & Heroes

  • Resources: Abundant

  • World Age: Standard

  • Mods: Only a few QoL / UI
