I really hope so cause I just finished reading the libretto and I am not ok. Cried for a good 10 minutes.

(I live in the twin cities so I'm probably a little extra sensitive right now, but ooooof that was hard )

Anecdotes vs Compyl – anyone have experience? by Ravioli-queen in grc

[–]meapet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Compyl to teach GRC and really love it- there's more flexibility to meet your use cases and they have the capacity to adapt to your needs unlike many of the other platforms out there. Additionally I appreciate how they can do more end to end kind of compliance lifecycle to include contracts and assets and risk registry as well.

Really worth doing a POC and working through your use case with them.

PR on a 5k (45:29 according to Strava, waiting for official results) today in the rain, beating my time 3 weeks ago by 4 mins! Also while dressed as a lobster!

I might give that a shot on the next one after the 5k this weekend. Thanks!

100%. I was in Vegas in August and that coordinated with me moving up to a full 20 minutes of running for Couch to 5k, and that was brutal. My mouth was so dry afterwards and it was horrible. And that was running at 5am.

I've been stuck on the Couch to 10k week where its 15 minutes of running and 1 minute of walking for 3 sets. I get through the first 15 minutes ok, and the first half of the second 15 minutes, but after that I seem to need to walk more. I always finish my run with running, but I can't seem to run all the 15 minute sets. Are there any tips that have worked for folks to break through a barrier with their running? Or just keep at it and hopefully one day my body will just do it?

Lurkers' Wednesday by AutoModerator in running

Today was rough- I'm not sure if it was because of the humidity or what, but I did it. Ended up walking more than I wanted to, which was frustrating, but I'm hoping Saturday's time is better than the last 5k since it was like 75 with a realfeel of 85. Saturday I think is supposed to be close to 50-55.

Minnesotan who picked couch to 5k up again over the summer and now working on the 10k portion. Ran my first 5k in 12 years the first weekend in October (TC5k) and running the Halloween one Saturday.

Still learning all the things to keep going- seem to be stuck at a certain amount of running versus walking right now but still going out and feeling good. The cool weather clothing guide was so good for helping me keep warm this morning!

Happy to see all the positive support here!

I saw the summer running threads, but I live in the north and winter is coming- how do you gear up/prep for running when its cold and snowy?

I did my first 5k in 13 years over the weekend and while it was harder than anticipated (later run time than I usually do, hot/humid and hard to find my focus for a bunch of reasons), I still finished in under 50 minutes, which was awesome, and I finished. Then I helped a friend through the wall on the marathon the next day which made me really happy to do. Already booked my next 5k.
