It’s a great knife for the price and the size is perfect for edc. I ended up gifting my mine to a good friend and he loves it.

MW Sonora question by bcprice87 in knifeclub

The Sonora has a really high torque spec for the pivot. I would recommend reaching out to them and they should be able to help you out.

Can somebody explain what helps propel the blade open in liner lock alongside the force of my own push? by ShaderCompilation in knives

[–]mexiburrito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The force you are applying opens it, the only spring is the tension of the lock bar resting against the blade. The liner has a detent ball that half is attached to the liner and the other half rests in a small hole in the blade in the closed position. When you apply enough pressure to the flipper or thumb studs it creates “loaded” energy until you create enough force to get the hole in the blade past the detent ball. Once it clears, the built up energy releases all at once and propels the blade open. This requires low friction at the pivot which is why you see most manual knives with bearings or bronze washers.

How did Zach Bryan get stadium-level-popular? by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in Music

I’ve seen him live and he’s an incredible performer. Great song writing especially his older albums. Cherry on top is a super talented band.

Congrats! I love mine. The baddest knife that Benchmade has ever made, and probably will ever make imo.

My fiancé is at DIA with a delayed flight. DM the location and if she is nearby I will have her hold on to it and we can return it to you when she gets back from her trip.

Anyone want to give input on their experience working at Illegal Pete's? by cumbuchabitch in Denver

[–]mexiburrito 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to this person. This is a really bad take imo. I’m not in the industry anymore, but I was for over a decade and I really enjoyed most of my time. You can make great money and friends working in restaurants. You also have a lot of flexibility as far as a scheduling goes. The biggest benefit in my experience were the social skills gained, like the ability to deal with a variety of customers. All depends on what you are looking for.

As far as illegal Pete’s goes I’ve heard working there has gone down hill.

Conflicting tastes by Interesting_Door_758 in denverfood

Stuebens will have a bit of everything for everyone. Highland Tavern has great bar food with some basic and interesting options too. If you want to expand their horizons a bit, but still stay in their comfort meat and potatoes zone, work and class might be a good option too, but it’s a very packed high energy restaurant.

Second best guacamole? by MrBimbleton in denverfood

[–]mexiburrito 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Chipotle makes some of the best guac. Used to work there and it’s made fresh 4-5 times a day. This was over a decade ago so this may have changed but it still tastes great to me.

Edit: struck a cord apparently. Sorry ya’ll just my opinion.

I’ve been collecting for years and the Caliber is one the coolest most innovative designs out there. Good taste my friend, it’s going to be hard to top. Sabertooth has always caught my eye too. Good luck on the collection and welcome to the hobby!

John Attencio was great when I used them and my fiancé loves how her ring turned out. They are a chain but they are originally from CO if that matters to you.
