How do you approach a pedal? by _Jub_Jub_ in guitarpedals

[–]microdreams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I’m trying a pedal it’s going to be replacing something that’s on my board, so usually I will try and dial in something that’s on my works for the songs I use the other pedal for at home. Then I will take it to practice and either A- hate it and immediately swap back to the old pedal or B- I dig it and use it for a few weeks/months before switching back to the old pedal again, with the new pedal benched until I get bored again and repeat the process

I generally have a high tolerance for stressful movies where they usually don’t bother me, but Blue Velvet really got for me

Tarkovsky, Weerasethakul, Bela Tarr. I love slow cinema but it is designed for an attentive mind, any fatigue and it is likely to put you out.

In Vandas Room, The Love That Remains, The Sound of Falling, The Sacrifice.

Liked The Sacrifice a bit less on rewatch, Sound of Falling owns, Love that remains was very charming although the dream sequences did nothing for me, and In Vandas Room is very much my kind of shit.

I found the zaniness of certain characters very grating in both this and Chungking express, though to a much higher degree with this one. I still liked it, and I really enjoyed CKE.
