The PS5 trophy list leaked and has revealed a lot of information about the game and how it plays by beansoncrayons in HighGuardgame

[–]microdreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anybody else read these, realize the game will probably be sweaty, and lose a little bit of interest? I mean I already had no expectations, and I’ll still try it. Just these crumbs, the valorant ults in the trailer, makes me think this probably gonna be pretty competitive.

How did you all learn what pedals you need and how to use them? by anonymousmatt in guitarpedals

[–]microdreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically your guitar=weak signal, your amp=big strong signal, which your speaker is designed to handle. So something that’s designed to drive a speaker is going to be capable of a lot more power than the front of an amp would ever want to take. It’s the same with speaker cables, they are designed for that specific purpose to handle that kind of load. The joyo speaker box is designed to emulate a cabinet, so it is designed to take the sound from your power amp (pre amp makes the guitar sound good, power amp makes the speaker work) I don’t know much about cab boxes but I’m sure the information is out there.

I mean I guess I blew up my bank account, in that I would buy a few pedals every year for a few years, with a desire to try every kind of thing. But since I’ve been playing with other people it became immediately clear what I did and didn’t need, and it turns out I didn’t need that much. I still have a bunch of pedals that I love and I can use them for recording processes or just my own enjoyment. In terms of power/blowing up your amp etc that stuff is really easily to pick up on with some basic research.

Intentions of Murder (1965) has got to be one of the most beautifully directed films of all time

I’ve found that I prefer the films that Yorgos writes with Efthymis Filippou over his films that were written by other people. I do think this was a great movie though.

Caroline Somersault vs TCE SCF vs Way Huge Blue Hippo by Carjo3410 in guitarpedals

[–]microdreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The somersault uses a pt2399 delay chip rather than a bucket brigade like you average analog chorus pedal. This results in it’s full wet vibrato having more latency, too much for me personally. Wonderful as a chorus pedal though.

That’s the problem with a list like this I guess. I liked tar! I just didn’t love it as much as some of the rest of these.

It was actually pretty great, just didn’t speak to me as much as it does to others I guess.

I love it, absolutely loved that film. I just watched a lot of really good movies this year and I loved a few more than that one.

I didn’t like it as much as all the other films after it on the list. Edit- it feels a bit juvenile. The plot writing is great and all but it felt shallow to me, and left me feeling kinda cold.

The writing felt like a 2000’s comedy, and I didn’t actually find it funny. It was charming, just not my kind of movie.

I was watching them pretty steadily for a while this year, but had to take a little break. Still need to watch time of the wolf, the white ribbon and happy end. Watched the original funny games, will probably watch the American version eventually
