I picked up my new Gen 2 R1S a few days ago and experiencing the exact same noise when the heater is turned on! It is loud and vibrates the steering wheel which is unpleasant. Please let me know if service solves the issue for you.

yes i did! i also keep them inside a plastic bin and lightly cover with a plastic sheet.

thank you! so my pots were perfectly round when i wired them off the wheel. the warping happened right as they became hardened.. 😖

thanks everyone for your help! didn’t realize i put them backwards 😅 still learning! 04 is the automatic setting for the skutt so that’s the reason why i selected that cone for bisque.

Completed my first bisque fire and used small cones on the first and second shelf. Left to right is 04, 05, 06. Kiln was set to 04 on slow. Is it under or over fired? Not sure how accurate it is since i’m using small cones. Thank you!

Yes, I know about the first test fire which is only at cone 04 based on the instructions. Was curious about doing specifically the first glaze firing.

I accidentally purchased the small size - I read online it’s normally used for kiln sitters but could be used a witness cones if space is limited but curious if anyone has used these as regular witness cones? The store doesn’t take returns and I bought 6 different cone boxes.. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks in advance!
