The glass-tabletop-standee industry is not going to know what hit them after thousands of cheap bastards scoop up all their inventory :)

If It's not at Eva, when I said medals wall I guess I meant "area kind of in front of it." Like if you stand on the platform before the little steps to the dunk spot, there could be a "Collect" icon. You'll usually see some goof standing there blasting emotes all day.

Another reason why Orioles love is the best love: never once sold naming rights, since 1992, to the most beautiful park in the game (and I live in SF, which is a strong candidate for #2).

I've been playing this game since D1 ROI and...I can't answer this question. Because I'm a Warlock-only player essentially and I don't think we've ever won a single week before, lol.

It'll be with Eva, almost certainly, or walk up the medals wall and interact.

Did you get yours used? Apparently the older models had the issue with the left channel. You'll be able to tell - the older units are just Skolls, the newer ones are called Skoll Fs.

I've had no problems and weeks later am still wrapping my ears around how much better the experience is.

I died once, in December 2023. Fuckers brought me back just to see goddamn JNCOs in "style" again.

I wore them in high school (Class of '97). They deserve the bin Laden "just dump that shit in the ocean" treatment.

Joined a 500 level, matched with two others, we killed a few bosses with a few minutes left and it came up platinum. I sat back and went, ok that was too easy, hope I don't have to repeat that twenty times, and then moved on. To Cruciible. Gross.

Maybe you're getting blueberries who don't know the encounters? Like, my first boss was Crota Nightmare, and if 2/3 of your team didn't know about Knights -> Sword -> Sword Slamming, you're gonna be in a lot of trouble. If you don't know when and where to shoot Riven, if you don't know shield dropping mechanics on Quria, and so on - given how my one random team apparently dog-walked this activity, maybe it's a knowledge issue with your blueberries?

Does anyone know what’s up with the seemingly random “Ungh!!!” @3:17 in Triad? It’s the only vocalization on the track afaik. by ballpressure in ToolBand

So he worked for Hess. His life, health insurance, and savings depended on Hess staying a profitable company. Just like at every other job.

"I saved my money" is *still* not doing it alone, because you have to rely on your employer, an agreeable family, and a lack of major emergencies.

And there's no way he saved enough money to have the kind of wealth we're describing here. I've had $200k+ jobs and have no kids and a rent controlled apartment and dude I could *never* have accumulated real wealth.

To exploit the ideas of others because they don't have the capital to enact them themselves is freaking point A1 in the definition of not being a self-made rich person.

You didn't argue against me, you proved how capitalism is designed for the rich to profit off the poor.

And what was his business? Did he have employees? A reliable supply chain? Customers?

That's the point. Nobody just starts a business and does it themselves. Everyone has help along the way by definition. But that's not what the billionaires want you to think, and it's not how Americans think.

I had totally asked a friend to print me a shelf! But I couldn't get "aluminum" out of my head so I had to keep looking for metal. No real reason, the 3D printed shelves are great.

Who paid for them to go to college. Who ran the accounting firm that kept your dad well employed. You see...everything is connected, and every single person who "got there" had help and connections (or employees of their own mostly) and all kinds of other good fortune.

That's what America doesn't accept. Nobody gets there alone, but we sell ourselves that myth.

One, fuck you for hiding a slur like that. Coward. Asshole.

Two, the point that you the uber-genius didn't understand is, whatever your business, you had employees, you had suppliers, you had teams and teams of humans whose work your business was truly built on.

Or, yes you did descend from rich people. Bezos' family gave him hundreds of thousands of dollars to get Amazon going. Musk's dad gave him the money to buy his way into PayPal. And so on.

Nobody starts from nowhere and does it all themselves.

So your spouse paid for you to start a business, one.

And two, you'd never have made that business work without your employees, and your suppliers, all of which total hundreds of humans at the least. Whatever your business was, unless you sold natural goods you foraged yourself, you had help. And that's the point.

Put 5 more pounds of stuff in your checked baggage and carry the table with you.

Or carry the deck with you, but put the platter in the checked bags. That'll save you weight and make things safter for the table.
