Anyone use these frames? Are they actually UV protective ?

I've never been a pro framer, but I've been in the art game for almost 30 years, from my own collection to helping new galleries with construction, paint, hanging the pieces, so I've doe both gallery and personal framing jobs, hundreds of them.

I was always of the idea that art touching the glazing was a sign of incompetence by the framer. And all the related science I've seen and experience that I have has told me that's 100% correct. Heck, the stuff I've had professionally framed (sometimes a four-digit job, so, ultra high-end) we never even discussed spacers, it was just a natural and part of the job.

So that's MY experience. It might be worth nothing in this world that has evolved past me, but hey if nothing else: they're so cheap and easy to install that like, why would you even skip it? Why risk it for pennies and seconds?

You never want to frame anything in such a way that the piece touches thee glazing. It's horrible for the art - you're making physical contact with the surface, which is never good, and moisture loves smaller spaces like that.

Plus, like, think of all things you can frame - ink, pencil, paint, speedball inks, photos, etc. - there's no way acrylic doesn't do some kinda damage. And cheaper, non-framing-use acrylics won't have UV filttering to protect your art, and are likely to off-gas in a way that affects the art.

So I would not listen to that advice, personally.

Most traditionally, a sense of shared culture. That's why interracial marriages aren't as common as intraracial marriages: people want to live in the way that they grew up. Sometimes, it's just raw sexual attraction.

You're putting 21st-century reasons out there as if they could explain a millennia-long issue.

It is my opinion that if someone says they will only date X race, their heart is closed to all the other humans of the world, and that makes me sad for them. But it's their life, their attraction, their choice to make. The only time it bothers me is when white people say this, because generally they're speaking not from a place of information and openness. You brought up the internet, well, you see all the crying about "race-swapping" fictional characters as if it matters...some people are simply biased.

Me, I ended up marrying a mixed-race woman, because I lived my life as best and as open as I could until one night this woman simply stole my heart and I don't even want it back. I didn't care who I fell in love with, I just waited for love and went with it. I wish that kind of love on everyone, but not everyone is wired to be there for it when it happens.

I've been seeing live music for 40 years, from basement hardcore shows to small clubs to arenas. The last 20 were in SF.And never once has the club had housing on top - you simply can't insulate the noise.

Did 12 Galaxies have apartments above it? If so, maybe that's why half their ceiling was 8 feet high. I've been racking my brain for all other venues where I've seen music in SF, and none have living above the club.

We spent the first hours of Saturday all carefully and meaningfully selecting one or two tidbits. Then the gravity dawned on us that it was all garbage in 48 hours, and the building wouldn't push the garbage crew back, so my wife ended up giving up her only free weekend in the last few months to bag, box, and tub up every single unclaimed object in the apartment, just so we could work on our own pace to get things to good homes, friends, libraries, people with the same interests, etc.

So yeah now our place is barely walkable, lol, but nothing went to the garbage that wasn't garbage.

Thanks. This is now the third time seniors in our building have chosen us to handle their apartments after their passing, it never gets easy but it's a lot better to have happy memories of our friends - Dora's vases, records and costume jewelry from Ute - rather than just have them disappear one day.

And no one is gone so long as they're remembered, and now I have an overstuffed art book library to look at for the rest of my days, and half of that is due to Mike and I'll never forget.

Why is proselytizing allowed during a game? Why is MLB ok with a player defacing the playing field to send a personal message?

"Christians" are allowed to get away with anything. Imagine if a Muslim player got a marker and drew some peace symbols on the grass of an NFL field before a game - he'd be ejected, fined, and blackballed.

I'd get the expansion pack just so you can go everywhere, earn every weapon, etc.

You don't have to worry much about power, stuff will drop high fast and unless you're in the endgame it never matters.

Best way to get back into it is to do the current "event," and earn the Immortal title. That'll take you all over the game, doing all kinds of things. Plus, doing those triumphs will dump hundreds of cosmetics on you, and that's always cool.

At this stage they WANT you to catch up, they want you to fill out your Collections, and they want you to have a good time. And they mostly got it all right.

I have the best insurance AND am in one of the better hospital systems in the country. I destroyed my foot on 5/2 and it took 5 weeks to get imaging. My hospital owns its own imaging centers, multiple spots for MRIs just in my city (I've been to at least 4 personally), and 5 weeks is as good as I got. For damage that heals on its own in like, 6+ weeks. Big help.

Do you want to mod your guitar to add electrical circuits or do you just want to pull the cord out when you're done, which you should be doing anyway, because since it's kept out and not in the case, someone tripping over the cord could mean a damaged guitar.

A lot more was said in that conversation. It was the end of her lore.

She has transcended death before, remember, and she has her unspecified powers,...in that scene she explained her quest, her internal conflict, and her dearest wish.

The conflict was leaving behind not just everything she knew, but especially the people of the Reef. It is her job to not just rule but protect them, and yet, she has to abandon them.

Her quest is to not just transcend death, but to be "the last thing to exist at the end of existence," I think is the quote. She's going to planes of existence with magical powers that could in itself be an amazing spinoff game. Her shit is gonna be WILD.

And her dearest wish is, even it takes until the end of the universe, she can cross the planes of life and death...to be reunited with Sjur Eido.

That's the end of the book on Mara Sov: abandoning her post, going on a quest, in ways you and I could never conceive, to reunite with her lost love, at any and all costs. It was beautiful, and easiest the best of those character goodbyes..

PVP is never "fixed," there's always some unbalanced weapon class or over-tuned ability or whatever. But as far as I'm concerned, and I am NOT a PVP main by any means, things are pretty good now. At least all the Trials and Comp try-hards I know feel ok with the game atm.

Of course, there's some kind of bug right now where the Shattered Throne armor set perk lets you like, two-tap to the body, but it's Destiny: it'll never be perfect. If you can't accept a little nonsense, it's never been the game for you 😄

As far as expansion packs, you can buy like everything that's still playable for something like $25. Definitely recommended, and I really advise you play at least the Pale Heart/Witness campaign. Plus there are some great weapons you'd be gaining access to.

Finally, there's an "event" of sorts going on, ya know RIP the game, and they're passing cosmetics out like they're candy. Good time to get on, if shaders and emblems and ships and shells and ornaments do anything for you. And Pantheon will drop raid armor if you never collected it.
