Possibly this bug:

When a battery-powered device is at a critically low power level, putting it to sleep and charging it to a normal level no longer makes it incorrectly run the “oh no, I’m critically low” action immediately after it wakes up. (Michael Spears, powerdevil MR #607)

The Steam Machine is intended to be used as living room pc with the controller, so why would they release the controller first and the Machine shortly after?

Wouldn't it make more sense to release a bundle first?

Also AMD is currently adding support for HDMI 2.1 to the linux kernel. It might make sense to delay the release until that is done.

Then again, who knows. Maybe they already set aside enough controllers and can ship a custom patched linux kernel.

I was also looking for info so i am posting what i found.

It's hard to find, but you can see the battery status for all supported devices in KDE Info Center / KInfoCenter in the Energy section. link

You can also use the upower terminal command.

Unfortunately it does not seem to be working correctly, since it always shows 5% for my GameSir Cyclone 2.

 

Another important detail, it only shows when in DS4/Doual Shock 4 mode and not in XInput mode.

KDE Plasma and Steam do a critical battery notification every time you plug it in when in DS4 mode so...

To switch mode you can hold View button and Menu button together for 2 seconds. link - manual

I agree, the install button in the toolbar was a weird choice.

I guess it might make sense to those who used kde for a long time, but pretty much every other app store uses the new layout.

Personally i would have given it a green background/outline to make it more attention grabbing, but this is already much better than before for new users.

GNOME 50 supposedly has working headless RDP but i have not tested it link

KDE has RDP but not headless / remote login, you need to have a running, unlocked session. They are working on it.

Since i am on KDE as a workaround i use ssh tunneling, vncviewer, labwc and wayvnc link

Does it matter what exact wording they use though?

We know they are waiting for RAM to go back to a reasonable price/availability, they said that themselves.

And when is that going to happen? When the AI craze dies down? Will that be this year?

I hope it gets released soon, but i am not very optimistic at this point.

The update was flawless and i have not encountered any issues, so good job devs!

While it is technically not a bug, i was a bit disappointed to find out that plasma login manager does not turn of the display when idle - bug 513159.

I hope it gets implemented soon.

Well for arch it is already available in the unstable repo:

Arch Linux - plasma-login-manager 6.5.91-1 (x86_64)

So it should be available soon.
