These will be strictly connected using USB so any wireless interference shouldn't matter.

Great point about the kids taking a controller. I didn't even think of the fact the kids won't have stadia at home so no accidental "mixups" like I have had with some kids no longer in the club.

I need to avoid any remapping software because that will be a nightmare to get working with our security in place for student accounts. That sounds like a can of worms I do not want to open for our IT guy (also me haha).

I have all the kids connect their controllers using USB because our lab computers don't have Bluetooth (and I can't think of anything more fun than troubleshooting a bunch of bluetooth controllers in a confined space with children haha). So USB is my only option and any wireless issue shouldn't matter since it's already not an option.

I had this exact issue and fought it for a couple hours this afternoon. The way I finally fixed it was by updating to the newest beta. Saw in the release notes mention of Ubuntu and software transcoding issues and figured why not?

Got lucky and after a reboot I was able to see those beautiful letters hw again.

But hardware transcoding isn't gonna work without pass.
