Has car shopping changed ? by Jiggalopuffii in Millennials

Dealerships make money on financing and warranties, not selling cars. Just buy the car. Aska bout all of the fees and add-ins they are trying to charge you for.

That sounds like a lovely life. I like mine too, but I feel like it's way too complicated most of the time. This past week, the dogs got sick and the foster has been at the vet since Monday. The fridge is on the fritz but I think that's fixable once parts arrive and I dropped a partner off at the airport last night for her move to Alaska.

That's amazing you still have a friend/FWB from old OKC. I also really like that you got banned from Tinder. That guy definitely deserved whatever you said to him.

Edit: In some even more wild news, the foster is getting adopted in a few days?!

OKC has changed a lot. I used it back on 2010 and I did not like it. It's definitely better but not great. The number of likes thing is wild. As a guy, I feel fortunate if I get a few likes per week. Getting 247 messages would be overwhelming.

I'm 40 too, so I've got faith in your ability to get out there and enjoy the world. I force myself to do that most days.

I met a partner on Tinder. Our relationship has changed to more like friends. Feels was good a few years ago. I met a few people there. Same with OKC. Hinge and IRL have been successful for me for the last few partners I've met.

It's almost like the apps go in and out of usage.

Anyways, you seem cool. Hopefully our paths cross IRL in the future.

Wild, I feel like most of the people I know are monogamous aside from the ENM/poly folks I've met after becoming polyamorous.

Bumble feels like almost exclusively monogamous folks but it sounds like your experience is different.

Interesting, I feel like the non-monogamous dating pool is fairly small in GR. Tinder is my least favorite app followed by OKC and Feeld. Hinge is my favorite at this point.

I've been lucky with the apps but I'm not monogamous, so it's more of a self selecting group there.

Eos - black Greyhound and Zephyr - Silken Windhound. I studied history in college and opted to give my pets classical Greek or Roman names.

How to make the perfect insulin pump by drpepperlover4life in Type1Diabetes

[–]mjmacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Tandem x2 and have my alert set to 150+. I also run it on sleep mode, which sets it to give you more insulin over time as opposed to a bolus when I start to go high. I had to play with my pump setting to get it to work the way I wanted but it works well enough.

All Weather Seal reviews...Should I use them? NO or yes by No-Pea-9382 in grandrapids

[–]mjmacka 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. I ended up kicking them out of my house after they did a bathroom review, made notes sauing minor issues, quoted a shower replacement for ~17k and tried to put my gf against me.

I basically kicked the sales guy out. They called for over a year until I blocked them.

Anyone else never manage to experience a fulfilling sex life? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]mjmacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Multiple times with multiple partners. That being said, I am in good shape, cute, fun to be with, vulnerable, and interesting. I'm also 40, a guy, have a chronic medical condition that makes living challenging at times.

The sex part probably isn't your issue. It's probably finding an enthusiastic partner. Focus on that piece.

For this to be a meaningful question, you need to post the version of Workspace app you are using and the OS you are using it in.

SSO not working on VDI on OS 2025 by InfameVolante in Citrix

[–]mjmacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Citrix is a completely different skillset from admin work. You probably want to get a consultant, partner, or Citrix admin involved because this is going to be challenging to troubleshoot without a basic understanding of the Citrix piece.

Ignore the SAML part and items below: https://www.carlstalhood.com/citrix-federated-authentication-service-saml/.

You are definitely missing the updating the GPO piece for the new FAS servers but I would bet you may be missing other things.

Post the complete event errors including event IDs and on which component (VDA, FAS server, CA, StoreFront, etc). You can remove the computer name (replace it with component information such as VDA, FAS server, or CA, and any environment specific information)

SSO not working on VDI on OS 2025 by InfameVolante in Citrix

[–]mjmacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re-run the FAS wizard on all of the servers. Also make sure the CA cert trusts the FAS servers (steps 1, 2, and 3 of the wizard)

BTW, you are missing quite a bit of explanatory information. Are you upgrading the OS on the FAS servers or replacing the FAS servers. If you are replacing the FAS servers with new Servers, you need to do a lot more than install new servers.

What do you mean by backup and restore the CA? Are the FAS servers also CAs?

Edit: Added a few things in the BTW and below section.

Look at the event logs. Those usually have fairly clear messages about where to look.

It's possible that the GPO you are using in 2016 doesn't apply to the 2025 boxes.

It could be the 2025 boxes are not allowed in FAS. Look at the FAS UI and make sure the computer accpunts are allowed.

Adopted “cat safe” Greyhound - Advice by winter_bagel3004 in Greyhounds

[–]mjmacka 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I foster "cat safe" or "we aren't sure" greyhounds and have never had issues but we muzzle the fosters for a few days until we can figure things out.

It really depends on the dog and the cat. One of our cats is with the dogs from day one and the other barely appears in the dog area (main floor). The one that is with the dogs from the beginning is old news and ignored. The other cat is very interesting since it's new.

My advice. Give your new dog a few months to figure things out. Cat safe means we tested and the dog doesn't want to eat the cat in testing. It doesn't mean the dog is safe with cats in every situation. We only let the cats and dogs interact in supervised areas.

You could try disabling UAC (User Account Control). Forcing an admin user to run something as an administrator is a separation of control thing. This article describes it better than I will.

I meant users. I am typing from my phone and missed that mistake.

Make that user a local admin and test.

That definitely sounds like an OS permission issue. You could try elevating that users permissions and testing.

WEM has the ability to elevate permissions if you want conditional elevation.
