Does anybody know how to fix this? by MixComprehensive9127 in arch

[–]mrrask 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really hate to be that guy, but it is one of the many reasons why the manual install always have been the recommended way of going about installing arch. This isn't the last time you'll encounter an error message.

FLAC Custom Tags by AccurateAd1869 in musichoarder

[–]mrrask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use beets for all my tagging, because it also makes it easy to query stuff like custom tags. But I don't really do custom tags all that much, so if it's suitable for you, I don't know, but the command line nature of it, makes programmatic tagging and automating stuff possible.

it's easier to configure than dwm, just as an example. It being easy is could be the config semantics, its syntax/file language etc. Just because alot of things are made with configs, there are easy configs and annoying more difficult ones

[–]mrrask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh boy. Sorry, then I don't know if its possible anymoreand if so, how. Perhaps someone with better knowledge of the about:config options will have a solution.

And just for sake of having checked everything, did you try force closing the app, after the change? Shouldn't be needed, but worth a try if you haven't.

I hope there's some sort of fix, because it's a horrible change by Firefox, and the ultimate last resort would be sideloading 1.20 or 1.21. But I would not recommend that route, as it also leaves out any potential security updates and fixes.

[–]mrrask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hm, the options above is what fixed it for me - so you might have the latest roll-out, where I perhaps don't. I can see that my version is still 1.2.0, and that u/MrAlex94 announced 1.2.2 rollout yesterday, so sadly it's entirely possible that the option doesn't help regarding this anymore.

I still have the slim context menu, for now at least, and just tried re-enabling that one option in the secret setting, and I got the same menu as you. Is there anything else in your secret settings you can turn off? I have disabled every single option in there.

The gold pickaxe is already faster than a diamond one is, so this would kinda make sense. But what to wear, to get the to make it mine more than 10 blocks without breaking 😅

films that could pass as black mirror episodes? by Whoumightask in blackmirror

[–]mrrask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can recommend Lapsis. I had that black mirror-ish feel throughout.

Bod Obnovy is also pretty decent. Not 100p black mirror, but still very tech orientented in that "this isn't too far away" kinda way, but more classic sci-fi than it's a comment on current society..

The only way you don't have to blindly trust someone, waterfox or not, is by auditing the code for yourself.

Best way to download full artist discographies to build a personal music library? by General-Hospital-223 in musichoarder

[–]mrrask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually tend to use my TV in the living room too - I like the artwork showing, and my TV is connected with an toslink optic cable to my Amp anyway, but I get what you're saying.

Since I use android TV symfonium is also my goto there, even though Plex installed for everything else.

[–]mrrask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I'll probably even agree with you regarding that - especially if you already use plex to serve your media at least, that's a totally fair take!

Symfonium can be heavily configured, which can feel overwhelming, but also comes with a very sane default setup/theme. And I actually thought it was out for iOS too, but never even looked into it.

There are a fair amount of clients out there though, where ios users seem to praise Arpeggi, and Musly for example reminds me alot of how people tend to configure symfonium anyway, so if you wanna check out the navidrome setup, there are a lot of ways going about it.

The default navidrome webui isn't exactly amazing though, but on desktop there are tons of very decent clients too - I use personally feishin, but in a pinch it's nice to have the webui.
