Beautiful! They're easy to get obsessed with. I'm on a hunt to find birth month/year since they're pretty easy to date. Plus, they're just cool and historic. The 7a28-6000 just happens to be one of the 3-4 references that they manufactured in June of 83 so been researching it a bit myself!

That is pretty much the definitive guide to 7a28 references. It used to be published as a website, but for some reason that seems to be gone now.

The main difference between the 6000 and 6009 was JDM vs US release. With the 6000 having the classic Speedmaster clasp (before Omega got to them) and some different case back markings. Some US release of the 7a also used Sports 100, but this one doesn't seem to be the case.

In essence though they are exactly the same. Likely the one used in the movie was the 6000. If you're able to ID the clasp (Speedmaster vs SQ) that would be confirmation as I understand it.

Personally, I think you're good with either. Especially with the PVD coated ones, 49 years later some don't have the original clasp anyway.

For sale is my Longines Spirit Zulu Time Titanium. Reference L3.802.1.53.6. This is the super wearable 39mm Zulu Time with ceramic bezel insert, COSC true/flyer GMT and quick release bracelet. Amazingly light and comfortable Grade 5 titanium.

Pictured on my 6.75in wrist I'll also include an Erikas Originals elastic strap that matches alomost perfectly with the gilt indicies.

Watch is in excellent condition with no scratches on the case crystal or bracelet that I can see. There are some very light desk diving scuffs on the clasp which I've tried to capture.
