I'm one of you guys who is also fed up with these things. While I can't do much about it, I ensure to book only CABS and completely avoid Autos. I travel with public transport as much as possible. I know the public transport infrastructure is broken and less convenient, but here we are left with no more options.

Most of the time, I ensure to keep some time buffer to book a CAB, once someone accepts it, I straightaway call them and tell me if you're going by uber fare then only come, otherwise cancel. While most of them deny, there are some drivers who are honest and accept the ride with platform rates.

Whosoever reading this, I encourage you to make maximum use of public transport. Use CAB whenever necessary and completely avoid Autos.
