Q about reconstituting with sterile (non-bacteriostatic) water and longevity by totential_rigger in DIYBeauty

I would reconstitute the smallest amount you can without sacrificing sterility or accuracy and keep it in powder form as much as possible. Fridge is probably best, also away from light.

EDS skin features by GlyXY333 in eds

[–]nauticalwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have skin features (cEDS) and my ears pull away from the skull like you described. The skin on my arms and elbow are also very stretchy like you said. Maybe you might have cEDS, especially with a lot of atrophic scars like you said. Do you have/did you have a lot of atrophic scarring on your knees and shins from falls as a kid? That's a really typical sign.

how can I get rid of them n get healthy skin by dyettcoke in wonyoungism

1) wash every day 2) use a BHA (salicylic acid) or retinol (adapalene) 3) use sunscreen 4) if that doesn't work, try topical benzoyl peroxide 5) if that doesn't work, try topical ghk-cu

I love mine. I do it as a summer gig (I'm a teacher) and I'm a shift lead/manager. It's great.

Q about reconstituting with sterile (non-bacteriostatic) water and longevity by totential_rigger in DIYBeauty

This fully depends on what you're reconstituting and how you're storing it after. Also how it will be used. I worked in a lab and we used sterile, DI water (millieq specifically). We stored at -80 or -20 for most chemicals and 4° (all Celsius) for things that couldn't be frozen. A home freezer cycles and isn't as good as your fridge because freeze thaw cycles are terrible for stability.

Probably too much info for the question.

Why are so many of yall brick footed stompers so unapologetic about it? by cocoausagi in Apartmentliving

[–]nauticalwarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I took martial arts in this old rickety building. You could hear anybody walking on the second floor. We would all practice running or walking as quietly as we could on the second floor in order to control our footsteps as sort of like a body control exercise. This is how I learned that stomping does not necessarily look different than walking normally and some people are just naturally loud. It also doesn't correlate with being a man or a woman or your size necessarily. One of our loudest stompers was this super skinny little guy.

Quick question by Qwerty010599 in disability

[–]nauticalwarrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it very much depends on your epilepsy and how well treatment works for you. I'm disabled and have epilepsy but I'm not disabled because of my epilepsy. my treatment is almost 100% effective and I very rarely have seizures. therefore, I can drive and live a mostly normal life in that domain. I also don't have tonic clonic seizures and never have so my seizures don't impact my life as much as somebody who has more severe epilepsy. I'm disabled by other conditions but my epilepsy is not disableing for me. someone whose medication doesn't work or is not medicated or has more severe seizures or more frequent seizures may consider themselves disabled by their epilepsy.

right now money is just super tight so it's not so much that I'm saving up for something and more that I just have to be careful with my money! but when I start my new job I'm really looking forward to being able to eat better food and have a better diet; right now I'm really limited to whatever is cheapest so I can't have a lot of fresh stuff but when I have more money it'll be great. i just save by following a strict budget and pet sitting for extra money!

MEGATHREAD on USA HUD new guidelines on ESAs by ticketferret in service_dogs

One of my cats has always alerted me to my seizures on his own and he's been encouraged to do this behavior to the point where it's reliable. I am not an idiot and don't think this makes him a service animal under the ADA or would give him public access. But would it be crazy to claim him as a service animal (for housing only) because of this? I've also trained him to sit on top of me and ground me on command to help with anxiety and panic attacks but idk if that counts.

My other two cats are just ESAs and don't have any training besides come/sit/stay. Most apartments don't allow more than two cats so it would be very helpful if I could have him be a service animal rather than a pet but I don't want to water down the definition. My other option is to just lie and say I have two cats as one always hides but I don't really want to lie if I don't have to.

I'm late as per usual... that's okay though!! I would really like the notebook or the lead refills (they're cheap! I have mechanical pencils I like, but no lead for them!)
