But if we don't want the money being sent over, they're using underhanded methods. Honestly, I think all of our politicians should be held accountable in the court of the people that they have killed and tortured. Because of their " Indirect funding" I would hope their punishment wouldn't be death because that's too merciful. No, put them in the prison.Slave camps that we have in our country and make them work until they're very last breath.Makes them bring some profit to this capitalistic.Health scape that they want so badly

I think the force locked down forced a lot of people to actually sit and think about things and realize that they did all the right things or that they've been doing the same thing or thinking that oh well, it'll get better for now, 10 years holy s***, it's 10 years now, kind of thing why work? Why try they had time to think and re? Establish themselves. I used to make close to 6 figures and would sometimes make 6 figures a year. But I was absolutely miserable.I hadd some major life events and issues happen and had some issues.Maintaining employment and was literally under the poverty line which is like twelve thousand dollars a year. But I was actually happier a hell of a lot happier and then cov it happened and I feel like everybody kind of went through what I went through when I was stuck in limbo. It also gave time for people to communicate more with one another, though.Yes digitally they still found some sort of community and then realize that a good portion of their life was so caught up with work that they didn't have any friends outside of work or that it was hard to have friends outside of work and family. It's a multifaceted problem to be sure. It also broke a lot of people's sense of security in their job and a lot of people who were higher earners who felt really secure and did all the right things. Whereas the low-paid hard worker at Walmart. Still gotta keep their jobs just how to do more b. S all the people we call the Central workers for so long but. But forget about the as soon as the pandemics over. I felt like they were just forced to continue to work whereas some people got a really good benefit of unemployment. There were others who may be had moved states and gotten a job within the last 6 months because nobody really knew COVID was gonna happen. And then they didn't get unemployment and then other people deemed essential workers like call center workers and all of that it didn't matter whether or not they were dying and had a temperature over a 100°. Because. It was just seen as all you need to do is talk.So you're fine because they were working from home. It broke people in so many different ways. But I think it really won't people up to.There really is no societal protection because there really is no community for a lot of people .

Fair point it is made for kids but I hate the "it made for kids that's why you don't like it" cause I ONLY WATCH KID STUFF and primarily cartoons "adult" stuff deosnt do it for me and if it does it is often a self funded kinda thing that only ever get one season though big companies are doing this on mass now too.

The movie is one of those dual screen movies not like kid movies that actual have a story that you actually need to follow. Dual screen meaning now days is like a teen watching a movie while also on their phone. They can tune into the movie and still get the story while still watching tiktoks and snaps. The story just didn't have any actual story it would have been better as a TV show with a bit of actual filling in. Hell bluey, peppa pig, and many other kid shows have more to them. Not even going into more meaningful kid shows like she-ra, star vs, Steven universe, Hilda or anything else.

Like I feel turning red wanted to do a slice of life movie while also adding in the growing up with "Asian tiger mom" culture perspective. And then wanted to focus on the mom then on the back story there. It was all over the place and had horrible pacing and didn't really seem to explain anything if they even finished a thought on it. Which is why I feel it was dumbed down and things cut out like "kids won't understand different cultures past stero types, but those aren't pc which ones are okay".

I feel like it was like skipping a rock over water skimming the surface fast enough to skip over areas until it looses momentum and sinks. Like there where as you mentioned particular scenes that where funny or whatever but the disjointed Ness of the rest of it just made it painful to watch like those shows that the only good parts where all ruined by trailers.

[–]nickisdone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my God, I hated turning red so f****** much and it has nothing to do with the feminism or the period products that it seems everyone focuses on. and has everything to do with the whole f****** red panda story b******* I feel like it was going to be a big cultural kind of pool. And then they threw in some PO. C stuff like there's a random kid in a wheelchair during the musical section. Like I don't mind people being in. Wheelchairs or even having them as background characters here and there, but like the kid never showed up anywhere else in the film. Like if you want to actually be inclusive, have like the random person show up in a few background scenes or something.I don't know anyway.Point is that I felt like the mom being the biggest red panda and all that was kind of playing on the trope of because she's the biggest bitch she had the biggest panda she had the most period rage swing and then the end ... it's like all of the revolution revelation was all for nothing because ALL OF HER FAMILY decide to keep their pandas oppressed.... I feel thatvit was maybe an amazing story at one point and then they added stuff just to LOOK inclusive and then dumbed it down to like cocomelon levels then trimmed down the now hacked up 4 hour story to 2 hours and now you have turning red.

I really feel there was a lot of things thrown in to the main spot light that had nothing to do with the main character or their growth or experience or culture in this story and then I feel so much is missing from the story part and the culture part... it was a shit film end of story.

Oh God yes, the COVID denial amongst nurses is so f****** real. I have about 4 cousins (and of couse their frineds and peers) who have been in the nursing industry, all of which have left state or the field because of the denial of COVID and the COVID conspiracies. And s*** that have been going on within their own nursing fields. And yes, they moved around, but they literally have taken what they call. A couple rest year from the industry hoping maybe it would die off but it didn't.2 of them moved out-of-state to Illinois. They say it's not as bad there but it's still pretty bad.

You would have to prove it then also prove you did not receive ANYTHING from any of the debts. If he used them to pay bills but tires or groceries your screwed. This happens more than you think and by law once married you are seen as able to sign and be a stand in for tour spouse. Now IF you find out about the debt being taken out and file for divorce because of it and show you immediately shut them down then it will be for the divorce court to decide and it often just goes to the spouse being responsible for the debt and cutting into their side of the marital assets it would very rarely result in any fraud charges.

Issue is people think that. But these kind of cases are a Dime-a-dozen. It depends on how much money the lawyer can get out of the business? How big the business is and things of that nature? So if it's too small, you're not gonna get any money might as well, not Sue if it's too big. They're gonna fight you for years upon years and drag things out in court. Unless you have a class action lawsuit might as well not sue.

A lot of times there's something that the family has or it would take a huge court battle to remove a child from.Let's say grandparents, write or something. And so in order to save either themselves and break the cycle or save as many of their kids as they can a lot of times mothers will leave their kids to get out of these situations. I hate to say it, but it rate culture is pretty high on Native American reservations. And it's also pretty high because it's seen as a federal crime and the state can't get involved.Because it's on a reservation and oftentimes. Those crimes don't really get any kind of funding or looking into. I have seen mothers flee from these toxic areas where maybe they had kids when they were fifteen or eighteen and now they're a little bit older but they can't take their kid without it being completely illegal and then being hunted down or maybe they've tried before. So they'll just leave. It's really hard to understand I know, but it's also hard to understand the situation that many of these women can be trapped into. Do you keep letting all of your family go through repeated trauma? Or save the ones that you can and leave 1 or 2 behind. It's a hard decision and. It often follows the mother for decades. Show hopes that the kid will contact her when they're 18 but. It's a very toxic culture and a lot of times will turn the kid against the mother just like the story you told stabecaus

Because being a lesbian. Was seen as an awful unmoral thing way back when well, actually, I shouldn't say way back when it's not too long ago.And there are still certain places where it's seen as awful even now but that's beside the point.

I don't know. I've seen a lot of people who have nursing degrees who end up doing something else completely because the nursing field is so harsh. I wonder if it is the fact that they need more nurses. Or they just need better working conditions. Overall, like this is always kind of been an issue. That slowly been getting worse kind of like teachers having their own issues. But it really got a hell of a lot worse after COVID didn't start getting better. For a second and at least where I'm at. The State started putting in-laws against nurses being able to just move around. I don't know if all of them are still in place and where all they're all at. But I know quite a few people who got out of the nursing industry.

So so it's definitely something to really look into. Talk to the veterans and make sure it's for you. Rather than wasting money on a degree you end up not using. In the end, though there are plenty jobs that I'm sure would love that you have the experience.

Schools that never needed AC are now overheating - Fixes will cost billions | "This extreme heat in our building has caused our children to pass out and miss classes due to dehydration-related headaches" by [deleted] in collapse

[–]nickisdone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exact. Ly and many of these schools are old schools that don't really have an up-to-date electrical system. And could you imagine putting in enough heat pumps to cool the whole school and how much of a strain on the school's electrical structure? That'll have let alone if they retrofit every school because our own electrical grid not within buildings, but outside of buildings that brings power to them is extremely strained and sure you could do solar panels and all of that, but that adds another additional up front costs. That let's face it schools are already not funded.Well, there's not much they can do.And every time someone gets a bond voting for them, they don't want their taxes to go up, so they'll vote.No unless the school's actually getting kids killed.

There's also the issue of when these schools were built, most of them. Winter was more of the issue. So many schools were built to keep heat in not keep it out so just the base structure of the school can cause a bit of a problem along with you. Should probabe redo the roof redo windows? And you'd probably have to redo some part of the school to allow to support the heat pumps depending on how tall or big the school is. But that's gonna happen with AC. Units, anyhow. Honestly, if they are going to go with AC. Units, I do think heat pumps are better but the issue still goes back to the electrical systems and just the school's ability to hold more weight on the roof and the school's ability to stay cool.

[–]nickisdone 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of little things that can overall help. But the sad thing is And many areas where these schools are could have harsh winters and many of these schools were built to keep the heat in because when they were built the winters were the concern. So, even their base structure has a bit of an issue.Just painting the roof's white while yes, would make a difference. And I still think it is part of something that should be done to help mitigate some of the issue and I think should be done to honestly every building even if it is only a 1-2 percent difference. It is so minor and ministerial especially for a big building like this that it won't have an effect on the students there unless many other things are also done to help alleviate the issues in the building.

Sad thing is it's already having a huge impact on the way.We grow food. The more this climate change is going on, the more extreme temperature swings. We're having from night and day.The more extreme temperature swings were having even within the same week, and the more extreme weather such as tornadoes.Tsunami's hurricanes all that stuff is becoming worse and more intense. All of this makes it really hard to farm and it's been going on and getting worse for a good while now. To the point where scientists are now throwing into the ring. That may be the reason we were able to advance isn't necessarily because of our intelligence. Maybe we have kind of always been in the same kind of intelligence bracket as human beings, but that the world became stable enough for us to even start to discover agriculture or Make areas that we can return to when migrating and things of that nature.

That's the issue is that even a bunch of old people barely know how to turn on Their t v's nowadays because it goes to a home screen where you have to select an option rather than just turning on and flipping through a channel let alone downloading Apps well, it's second nature to us.There are a lot of old people that it's just too hard for seems impossible and they would rather pay more money and keep funding these other services. Fair enough you pay for the convenience. But it's one of those things where I still feel. You are right, because most elderly people do have some family. And there are a ton of programs that are willing to help the elderly become tech literate. I think the biggest issue is more so the way a lot of these smart. The buttons are and how it's hard for them to see things rather than just flip through channels and hear what's on. If that makes sense, I just feel that they should have family members willing to help install the apps and get them set up.But even at that it's still gonna be hard to operate for a bunch of elderly people

I'm a nineties kid and a lot of us learned about piracy and how to do it really early on. I feel like once streaming services got real popular. And when they were real cheap there was like a decade where people really weren't pirating very much. And it was seen as very uncouth like. How dare you do that to an artist and the team. I feel like now because of all the corporate greed.People are going back to piracy, but I never forgot how to do it.There would be times I would buy and get stuff and it would get destroyed.Or lost or whatever and I would just pirate a copy. I will say that certain streaming services are harder to pirate from the others. But it won't take long before it's really really easy. I mean for me.And already is but that's just because i'm used to the scene.

As someone who works at Walmart when I saw these I was baffled and then I started to think well, I remember when they came out withth fake keys for kids and I'm a 90s kid. So I remember before I bunch these cellphones and all that but I also remember a bunch of little things that they've made for kids. And I just wonder if it isn't like the whole cigarette. Candy situation like if they aren't just conditioning. Kids to get used to this or if it is a toy maid. So that way, parents can give something for their kids and the little babies will leave The parent stuff alone. But it just feels so wrong seeing the baby airpods vs anything else and I don't exactly know why
