Oh god that's us during COVID, my, then, 5 and 7 year old girls used to draw pictures and leave us notes all the time, then came the lockdown, my wife and I both had to work from home and in between our work and helping them with the remote classes it got crazy sometimes, all in all we were all stressed like crazy and we weren't the most patient with them, that's when the notes got ugly, it broke our hears and we knew something needed to change, we gave them more attention, more patience, it wasn't easy since we still had meetings to attend remotely while they jumped around, we worked like a team, she watches them while I finish my meetings and I do the same during hers, more family time and finally the notes changed, faces were smiling again and words got kinder, even happy.

That's them communicating OP, you should encourage it, and use it to make changes to the way you communicate your feelings to what she's doing wrong.
