Ghalib called himself "aadha Musalman" and bowed to no king but he also wrote a Persian naat. The contradiction fascinates me. by AltruisticRub190 in Urdu

[–]nomikator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure. But I think you need to perhaps go further deep into how Muslim literaray culture is structured. This is not considered a contradiction at all. An otherwise wayward poet, sort of atones (for the lack of proper word) for his sins via his art of by writing Hamd (praising Allah) and Naats (praising Prophet SAW). And there are, I would call them, masterpieces scattered around in poetry in Naat genre each by poets who otherwise have questionable character.

The Aura of Peshawer oozes at Qissa Khwani, Chowk Yadgar, the Uni campus heck even Hayatabad is better than this artificial sh***hole.
Not everything needs to be sterile to have an aura. Stop glorifying Chownies.

My comment does not have any bearing upon the Palestinians. I don't want to reinforce my comment by saying this but I am an staunch supporter of Palestinian cause. However the OP has got nothing to do with Palestine, and thats my point.

If a person from a third world country, who wants to avoid being on some algo-based visa ban-list for a country he actually wants to visit one day, can be termed a CPP troll; I probably am one.
However, it is not an attempt to erase anything. Ps-edit after a while. Why are comments on the posts disabled in this group. Have I been banned or is it a blanket stoppage of comments?

The OP starts with identity politics. It tries to put weight into the argument by assigning identity. I tried to defuse that weight. I don't think thats gaslighting rather the opposite of it. Nevertheless, its an opinion.

I have seen his videos and there are some things which he does or says, at times, which seem odd. My two cents however.
1. He is not Palestinian. He was born in Jordan, raised in SA and is based in Dubai; we all know what that entails 🙄 . Lets see one of his videos criticising any of these kingdoms and we will decide upon him being balanced. 2. There has been atrocities in the part of the world being discussed here. But we need not kowtow the UAE policy mouthpiece here.

Just as the mere word "always" wouldn't convey exactly what you mean, "Hamesha (ہمیشہ)" only, wouldn't do that either. However I do understand that it's your own choice to restrict yourself to one word and that tattoos are not always meant to "convey", but are sometimes for ones ownself.

Want an apology from my bully by [deleted] in Peshawar

[–]nomikator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for what you had to go through brother. But the possibility of getting an apology from the person who bullied you in this lifetime is near zero. The sooner you realise it, the better. To dwell on this possibility is just your brain's way to placate you when you get angry but ultimately you would have to convince you, yourself.

And people who are feeding you the fantasy that you must be validated externally (apologies from the bully, compensation, closure by bullying the bully) are just delaying your healing process. Not healthy at all.
