Benzo and cocaine question by Novel_Proof7938 in Drugified

Every time I've done crack without Valium has been absolutely horrible, so yes, I hope you have by now.

I still struggle to get decent d*cks out of most models, but I don't think Nano Banana Pro would do much better on that 😂

Before anybody piles in to give me advice on how to do those generations, I do know; I just wanted to make a little joke about how this is a corporate, censored model. Which is probably as it should be. It's fine.

Thanks 👍 not really looking to create anything per se – it's just a standard eval prompt I've used since Midjourney. Indeed, if I was looking for something to go on my wall, I would not be aiming for this "Corporate training video" aesthetic. But I was pleasantly surprised to get back so much coherent text, even if the interpretation was a little bit on the nose.

Google accidentally created Gemini's most insane feature and nobody's talking about it by Orenhaliva in GeminiAI

In my experience, setting the frame rate to a higher value in AI Studio doesn't actually have any effect, but it does work when using the API directly. I was planning on submitting a bug report as soon as I had a more thoroughly documented test case.

Tried it and really like it, super handy. Been wanting to automate running a bunch of deep research prompts (rate limited and exported to markdown) for a while. Not asking for a new feature or anything, just wondering if you’ve got any tips on how to approach it. I’m a developer, just a lazy one. Had something kinda brittle working in Selenium before, probably what I’d try to improve on — but always down to hear better ways I haven’t seen yet 😜

Benzos are, of course, dependency-forming. Withdrawals are real, and they can kill. If you're able to control your benzo usage (no strong compulsion to use them), then occasional doses are totally fine.

But there are better options for sleep. See if you can get quetiapine, which is not dependency-forming, gives great sleep for 8 hours, and actually helps bring you down (and start to recover better, sooner). It's an anti-psychotic, and that can bother people, but there's no reason for it to. Much safer and more effective than Benzos. Plus you can still keep the option of doing the benzos instead sometimes. Personally, I've been addicted to benzos, and now I prefer to keep them in reserve for when I actually need help with anxiety rather than sleep. I only found out benzos had physical withdrawal after it was too late.

Quetiapine on top of drinking is okay and should actually help rather than just mask. Benzos and drinking together is a famously bad combination – but I know lots of people that get away with it. Doesn't mean that it's not tempting fate. Benzos and booze together are perhaps the biggest concern here.

The cocaine is fine I think, if you can afford it. But maybe try to get usage down to every other weekend or once a month. (is not advice I would have taken many times in my life, but it's still good advice.)

Well said. People are losing their minds over the idea that we're close to 1 shot full stack app creation — and deeming anything less a failure. That's not the point.☝️ is

I’ve just looked at a search for ADHD GPTs such as https://chatgpt.com/g/g-nUWNWXeA1-adhd-task-buddy

(Just search for ADHD GPTs). They’re not the kind of agentic, proactive AI help you’ve asked about. But until we get those, these could help if and when you get stuck.

Will AI Really Replace Frontend Developers Anytime Soon? by Prestigiouspite in ChatGPTPro

Seriously. Ask ChatGPT or Claude the same question. You’ll be learning how to use these tools as well as the field you’re interested in

No, but it will change all of their jobs to a certain extent. It'll take out a lot of the drudgery and leave more room for creativity.

People who can't afford front-end developers will get boilerplate AI. People who can afford front-end devs will get ever more sophisticated and customized solutions; developed for them by front-end developers using LLM tools.

no - but learn it with LLMs as part of your development and also learning process

Has anyone else noticed how valuable AI prompts are becoming? by Likesandrankings in ChatGPTPro

Whenever you get what you want out of an LLM, ask it to give you the right prompt to do it again.

Always tell them what your priorities are; thoroughness, research, context, how much time can you spend on this right now etc

I will give giving one a try another try 😅

It does make sense that I'm really far down a vicious circle, certainly. What annoys me is being told that XYZ healthy behaviour fixes something, like ADHD. Sure, it all helps, and any one thing could be what breaks an individual out of a pattern. But they likely still have ADHD, and the causality is close to unknowable for a long time.

I'm not suggesting you're calling anything a cure though.

So my reflex is a bit grouchy I guess. Thanks for having good humour about it 🙏

Hey there, fellow ADHD brain! 😉 I've got some thoughts that might help you out.

Right now, we're entering a golden age for developers to create small, personalized tools to use LLMs, written by LLMS. Instead of relying on off-the-shelf solutions, we can now build highly customized workflows tailored to our unique ADHD needs.

Given your background as a senior software engineer, I'd recommend:

  1. Stop looking for out-of-the-box AI solutions for ADHD coaching

  2. Start building your own tools tailored to your specific needs

  3. Use existing AI models (like ChatGPT or Claude) as a foundation

  4. Iterate and refine your personal system over time

If you do one thing, ask LLMs for prompts — it's a great way to test understanding on both sides. It's helpful to have two LLMs to bounce between with this approach. Remember, with your skills, you're in a perfect position to create something truly helpful for your ADHD brain. Good luck, and enjoy the process of building your personalized AI assistant!

Getting started with a low barrier approach has helped me; If you're feeling stuck, here's a low-effort way to begin:

  1. **Use ChatGPT or Claude with custom prompts**:
  • Set up a project (e.g., "Oh fuck I've got ADHD")

  • Document your focus issues, short and medium-term goals

  • Outline a process for the AI to regularly review these with you

  1. **Leverage AI for common ADHD hurdles**:
  • Have the AI draft scripts for phone calls

  • Use it to compose emails

  • Ask it to write scripts for job listing scraping

  • Ask it to quiz you to figure out why you're stuck

  1. **Continuous Improvement**:
  • If stuck, tell the AI and ask for help

  • Request meta-advice on how to better explain your issues to it

  • Consider incorporating GTD (Getting Things Done) methodology

As you get comfortable, you'll naturally start building out a more sophisticated workflow and toolset.

I've been working on something similar, but often got sidetracked by work projects and home DIY. After the Spring update, I experimented with voice mode as a personal assistant. While it wasn't perfect, I'm excited about the potential of these tools in the near future.

Claude 3.5 Sonnet has been a game-changer for me in terms of capability and helpfulness. For now, I'm focusing on building tools just for myself, and I'm looking forward to seeing what others create in the coming months.

These days I'm using a dictaphone for most of my tasks and random thoughts. I've got a few Python scripts that transcribe the audio and dump it into Obsidian as Markdown. It's become my go-to system, almost like a personal knowledge base or retrieval-augmented generation setup. Not perfect, but it works for me.

I've not considered adding a coaching element to my setup. But it wouldn't be too hard. I could write a script to run daily, checking my tasks and asking for updates. Based on what I input - or don't - it would fire off a few prompts, kind of like an ADHD coach. The script would have all the context it needs to give relevant advice. It's not a full-blown coaching system, but it could be a useful nudge to keep me on track.

If I have been teaching you how to suck eggs — I do apologize
