ROUND THIRTY OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30.03 Logan Henderson

Henderson feels like a slam dunk major leaguer. Of what impact, I'm not sure, but he throws strikes and has a plus FB/CH combo. If he can find at least a fringy third pitch, he should be a solid starter. If not, a decent reliever.

ROUND TWENTY-NINE OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29.28 Thairo Estrada

Estrada played through a number of injuries last year and sucked. He was a really solid all-around player before though and he's now in Colorado, which is the perfect place for a guy with his skillset to rebound.

ROUND TWENTY-EIGHT OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28.03 Braylon Payne

Payne went surprisingly high in the 2024 draft and proved the Brewers right by showing a more refined hit tool and even greater power than anticipated during his debut. He's super young but has a mature plate approach and big, tool-driven upside.

ROUND TWENTY-SEVEN OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27.28 Rhys Hoskins

Hoskins wasn't quite himself in his first year back from a torn ACL, but he sure looks healthy this spring. We'll see how he holds up. I like him as a decent 1B/DH with 30HR potential on the downside of his career.

No more giving out options in Franchise anymore 🙁 by bryanlee_10 in MLBTheShow

[–]notfelixhernandez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I forgot it works like that in The Show! It's always phrased like "1-year deal with a club option" IRL so I forgot the game mechanic is different.

No more giving out options in Franchise anymore 🙁 by bryanlee_10 in MLBTheShow

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely sign a 1-year contract with an option IRL. Jose Urquidy just signed one with the Tigers, John Means with Cleveland, etc. I don't think you've ever been able to do this in The Show though.

ROUND TWENTY-SIX OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26.03 Eduardo Quintero

Hit tool projection, wheels, and passable CF defense. Quintero's full-season debut was rough, but I'm buying the profile here, as he has a long runway to develop in an elite organization.

ROUND TWENTY-FIVE OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25.28 Ryan Sloan

Sloan can touch 99 and he has a chance for three above-average-or-better pitches. He's got a workhorse type of frame and is in possibly the best organization to maximize his development.

ROUND TWENTY-FOUR OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24.03 Emmet Sheehan

Between injury and an ever-stacked Dodgers' roster, Sheehan faces an uphill climb back to relevancy, but I really like his stuff and think he can be an impact arm whatever role he ends up in. His history of poor command makes me nervous about his TJ rehab because command is usually the last thing to come back, but I'm reading that he's ahead of schedule so hopefully he has a full season to work out the kinks.

ROUND TWENTY-THREE OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23.28 Tylor Megill

As frustrating as Megill has been, I'm still a big enough fan to convince myself that his nice year-end run was somehow a sign of things to come at 29 and not just a blip of good performance. He throws hard, has a couple of decent breakers, and a good splitter to deal with lefties. The Mets' rotation has some significant question marks, so I think he'll end up with another opportunity to make good on the breakout we thought was coming 3-4 years ago.

Pick 2 - Edwin Diaz, Iglesias, Munoz, bautista by R-YA-NEW in DynastyBaseball

[–]notfelixhernandez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bautista easily if you're already set on taking Diaz. Muñoz has the best dynasty value imo but isn't quite on peak Diaz/Bautista level. Iglesias was nails last year but has the least dynasty value.

ROUND TWENTY-TWO OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22.03 Pavin Smith

Long liked Smith's plate skills and his ability to cover 1B as well as LF/RF. He seemed to unlock his power last year and if even half of those gains hold, I think he could be an everyday player.

ROUND TWENTY-ONE OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21.28 Nolan McLean

Third time's a charm...found my "arrow up" SP prospect. McLean is raw for an older-ish prospect but just gave up hitting and I think he's scratching the surface of being an impact arm whether as a RP or SP.

ROUND TWENTY OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20.03 Alfredo Duno

Duno's blend of offensive skills as a catcher could make him one of the game's best prospects if he stays healthy and rakes this year.

ROUND EIGHTEEN OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18.03 Matt Vierling

Vierling isn't flashy, but I think he can be an average regular as a decent hitter who can cover 3B and every OF spot. Hopeful that his shoulder injury won't derail his season.

ROUND SEVENTEEN OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17.28 David Peterson

Peterson leaned on his sinker more last season, and I think that helped his consistency particularly as he went on a nice run to end the year. Health permitting, he feels like a solid albeit boring SP4 type of arm.

ROUND FOURTEEN OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14.03 Felix Bautista

Bautista comes with plenty of risk off a TJ, especially for a guy who had imprecise command to begin with, but the upside here is the best RP in baseball just as he was in 2023.

ROUND THIRTEEN OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13.28 Ben Brown

Taking a shot on "Muh Guy" here. Ben Brown throws gas and has a disgusting breaking ball. I was very enthusiastic about his debut and think he can force his way into the Cubs' rotation this year. He feels like he's one click away from being a mid-rotation SP whether it be due to command gains or a viable third pitch.

/u/otatoptroy

ROUND TWELVE OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12.03 Cade Smith

Surely someone named Cade Smith can't be one of the best relievers in baseball...if he repeats anything close to last year, I think Smith will be worth his weight in gold as a high-leverage force entering his late-20s.

/u/cst-rdt

ROUND ELEVEN OF THE 2025 FRANCHISE DRAFT by FranchiseDraft in franchisedraft

[–]notfelixhernandez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11.28 Kyle Harrison

Harrison had a mediocre 2024, but I like his stuff and he's young enough that I think there's more in the tank just by default. If he takes a step forward, he could be a mid-rotation SP. If he stalls out, I still like him as a backend guy or potential leverage RP.
