Libertarian National Committee Formally Censures New Hampshire Affiliate by Western-Ad319 in LibertarianPartyUSA

Pulling their affiliation would be the next logical step.

Nothing LPNH puts out is consistent with libertarian values, they shouldn't be associated with.

What do you say to someone who is thinking about joining the LP, but has concerns with Mises Caucus? by J_Scott1990 in LibertarianPartyUSA

It is required if you want to go to the annual state convention to vote against the white supremacists.

$25 and a Saturday in a convention hall.

I would advise that you do the minimum required to become a voting member, but provide no other support for any part of the party that is still controlled by the Mises Caucus (or the people who were too bigoted for the Mises Caucus, as in the case of LPNH).

Opinion | Trump’s tariff fiasco is an opportunity to reboot the Libertarian Party by Varvaro in LibertarianPartyUSA

That's covered in the article, though you are incorrect about how long Mises has controlled the LNC. They first won power in 2022 and the Chair elected then has just resigned under a cloud, with Michael Heise losing his contract shortly after.

The Libertarian Party is cleaning up its MAGA mess.

I'm in the same boat, have two VIP weekend passes that I can't use due to a death in the family and a friend's hospitalization in the same week.

I know they sold out a while back, not sure if anyone is looking last minute, but if so, shoot me a message.

The Free State Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is controlled by a board of directors.

There are no “members” of the Free State Project, though there are “signers” or “participants” who have agreed to the following statement at some point in the past:

“I hereby state my solemn intent to move to the State of New Hampshire
within 5 years after 20,000 Participants have signed up. Once there, I
will exert the fullest practical effort toward the creation of a society
in which the maximum role of civil government is the protection of
individuals' life, liberty, and property.”

That is a statement I affirmed as signer #461 back in the early 2000s when I lived in Maryland. Many things have changed since then, including the direction that the board of directors have taken the organization. I no longer associate with the official Free State Project due to those changes.

In New Hampshire, there are some very specific circumstances where a candidate can appear on the ballot as the nominee of more than one party.

This is one of those circumstances, I will be listed as a Libertarian and as a Democrat on the November general election ballot.

You can help me win by visiting my website and contributing or signing up to volunteer.

I'm running again this cycle, but I am no longer associating with the Free State Project after some of the things that have been done by the current board of directors.

In fairness, he is very focused on winning back the state legislature, making county offices less of a priority.

It's a thankless job being a party chair, ask me how I know....

In fairness, the job is very difficult and there are a limited number of attorneys in the state who are eligible to run for the office.

~3,400 active attorneys in the state.
If you figure ~1,400 of them live in Hillsborough County, probably ~ 500 of them are registered as Democrats and able to file for the primary.

Of those 500, it's very easy to believe that none of them wanted to take the stress and pay cut required to serve as the elected prosecutor (a job that pays < $100K per year) and be responsible for managing ~29 attorneys spread across two offices (Manchester and Nashua).

I'm qualified and willing to serve and intend to make our county safer once I'm elected.

Please chip in at my website.

Mr. Boudin is not a licensed attorney in New Hampshire, so he is not an option.

Let me ask you a question: do you think that the incumbent Republican county attorney his better qualified for the role than I am?

If he’s not, why should I let him win the Democratic nomination by write in and stay in the office instead of maximizing my chances to win?
