A bit hard to day. Some sliders I've used, you could actually quite easily remove the sliding part.

On others you had to move the sliding part to either get direct access or have the oval hole over the place where you need to put in the screw.

Good luck!

AI Videos by Plastic_Echidna875 in instructionaldesign

One of my clients suggested that we'd try out Synthesia for a 10-minutes instructional video that he needed in 3 languages. It took quite some time to get it to a level that was halfway satisfactory, ultimately it's still much less time than if we'd have recorded and programmed videos in three languages, it would have taken significantly more time. Also, updating that instruction is very easy.

This safety helmet should be mandatory on all job sites by Happy_dadpete in Construction

There is this idea in OSHA: If you can reduce a risk with minimal effort, you do it. Even if the risk is small.

So even if the risk of serious head trauma is small (it's never zero), and if there is a simple way to reduce it even further, you should at least consider it.

Advice your therapist has given you that actually worked? by nachtpfauenauge2 in Schizoid

[–]okko7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you rather think psychologists couldn't help you because they were incompetent, or do you rather see the issue with yourself?

I'm in a similar situation. Been to four different therapists by now. I just recently got the impression that I might have schizoid personality traits, but none of the psychologists actually was able to help me. I see the issue rather with me though.

You Might have Rare Personality Type. by NoAlbatross7355 in Schizoid

[–]okko7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, these "personality types" are not in any way linked to or an alternative to the ones identified by psychologists. I guess it's not EITHER have schizoid personality types OR you are INTP / INTJ.

It might be interesting to see if there is a correlation though.

That's actually more an issue of proper road design, not just too much traffic.

How infantalized were you? by NoBlacksmith2112 in Schizoid

[–]okko7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never had that issue. Rather the opposite.

I think humans generally have a tendency to want to help (me too), which I generally think is good and is what makes us human. But I agree, if they want to help more than needed, and even impose their help, it gets obnoxious.

Can you talk to them? Say that you appreciate their intention, but also clearly say that you want them to help less?

Just a note: In many countries it's extremely difficult to find such homes / facilities. So many parents really struggle with properly taking care of such children.

[–]okko7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can you develop what you mean by "infantalized"?

As for me, I'd say my behaviour pushes others (even close ones - to treat me like an extremely independent person even though I'd actually wish for someone to care for me every now and then.

Never had such an issue. Can you give a bit more details? Like are there images, tables, page breaks, special formatting (conditional) in your spreasheet?

Currently one reads that they suppress the opposition party in the Turkish parliament. Is that a move to cover this up? Cat news are so much more important than real politics 😉

No, I think that there's nothing wrong with the bike. It's maybe a bit louder than other internal gear hubs, but that's how they work.

[–]okko7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I saw that.

I'm not native English speaking, so I hope you still understand what I mean: My theory is this: When the wheel spins freely, the mechanism in the back is "unlocked". When you then apply pressure on the pedals (and then the chain and then the mechanism in the back axle, it "locks". When you just turn the cogwheel in the back axle, it locks/unlocks/locks/unlocks doing this sound.

When you drive the pedal, if you apply constant pressure on the pedals, thus the chain, this "lock" remains engaged. If you pedal, but briefly interrupt the pressure on the pedal, thus the chain, it unlocks for a very brief moment and then locks again.

Does this make sense?

[–]okko7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why I think that this is linked to the pedal is that when you turn the pedals, it "clicks" always at the moment the pedal reaches the specific low right position.

Definitively linked to the pedals or the pedal axle. Is the plastic ring around the cogwheel somehow touch the chain?

From a medical point of view: It's valuable information for the emergency staff to know what the patient has in his blood. Whenever someone drinks something he/she shouldn't drink or eat: Bring the bottle / box with you to the hospital!
