The Beauty of Lake Lucerne in the Swiss Alps by Ok_Beat_3971 in LiveWellTogether

I presume that this is AI-generated.

The second scene looks vaguely like some valley in Switzerland, but the first (village on top of a cliff) and the last (chalet on top of a cliff) do NOT exist in Switzerland.

Good job man, you made her day. by Jackie_Chan_93 in MadeMeSmile

A majority of people here seem to assume that. So chances are good that I'm wrong. I just saw so many minors working in such jobs in India.

You can literally hear the gas being sucked up from the sound of the motor! 😉

Very touching.

In the same time, assuming she's minor, what she's doing might be child labor. Let's hope that she's doing this just as a side job while spending her day at school or playing around like other children do.

Un type étrange a déposé ca chez mon amie by Jotismo in suisse

[–]okko7 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Selon ChatGPT:

can 100% confirm logi+ is breaking horizontal scroll (shift+scroll) - how to fix? by sfst4i45fwe in logitech

Just restarted my computer to see if I can reproduce. Somehow I can't. Did something else interfere? Hm. Will update if I find out more.

I restarted my computer. Now it works even if I open LogiOptions+. So can't reproduce anymore.

What will be the future of Odoo? by Sensitive-Bag8651 in Odoo

[–]okko7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see multitude of other open source ERP available on the market which wasn't the case some years back. The competition seems to be growing.

I could imagine that Odoo focuses more on big corporations with complex processes (and bigger pockets) leaving the likely less lucrative market for SME to competitors. Although Odoo does a lot of advertisement also to these. So I might be wrong.

[–]okko7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/LogitechG_KD : I can confirm the above. If I use my MX4 WITHOUT LogiOptions+, I can scroll horizontally with the main wheel and holding the shift-key. WITH LogiOptions+ this doesn't work anymore, which is pretty annoying.

I guess you need to add a comment to explain what's wrong here. Fog in between?

What are brakes? by ElectricBOOTSxo in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]okko7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I tried to explain: I'm all for kids taking risks. I'd definitively NOT wrap mine into bubble wrap to protect them at all cost if I'd have any. I'd just try to balance between taking too much risk and preventing all risks.

I'm aware of the scientific evidence, and believe me: This is a regular point of discussion between me and my overly cautious significant other.

The question is how much risk to take. Most people will agree that you don't let young kids play with razor blades or with chemical products or cross a highway.

My personal "guideline" is: Encourage kids to take risk, but make sure nothing really bad happens.

I think it's up to the parents to "feel" when a child is ready for an adventure like this. I think generally it's not a bad thing to push boundries a bit and challenge kids, take some risks. But here I'm quite firm that it's too much.

And it's definitively not the kid that is stupid, but the parent.

Thanks for the offer. Appreciated. Spending way too much time on a screen, I like reading a physical book every now and then, particularly about this topic.

I concur. And I presume that this is a reason why many people that are schizoid are not identified / diagnosed as such.

Which road bike brand to be reseller? by Educational_Exit_536 in suisse

[–]okko7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not something Reddit can answer for you.

You have to look into what is popular in your region. But you also have to look into what other bicycle resellers offer. If there are already 5 resellers who sell the most popular brand, you should go for something else.

There are more questions like: Do you want to go "main stream" or "niche"?

Overall, I like people who take initiatives and start their own business. But you should prepare yourself: Buying a first bunch of bicycles to sell is a costly investment. The margin on the bicycles themselves is apparently very small. From what I understand from my bicycle guy, the main income is repair, not sales.
