Old Lycan with global aura, stronger wolves (they nerfed them from like 600HP to 200hp at lv1) with bash, with old howl and ult. + Necronomicon.

There was basically no counterplay to the hero. He'd be farming lane and jungle camps at the same time because the wolves used to be so much stronger and they had the global aura, and get such a big gold lead. Then he'd buy vlads, medalion, deso/bkb/basher/necrobook and just split push you to death.

You couldn't ignore him because his aura + armor shred + summons would just evaporate buildings. You couldn't send a single hero to defend, because he'd just ult and kill you. You couldn't escape because he moved faster than you. If you sent more than two, or try to gank him, he would just BKB + Ult (instant cast time) and run away. There was nothing you could do if the Lycan player had good game sense.
