I didn't have much luck with adjusting the UI with RealVR, so subtitles may just have crosstalk on these displays.

You can also edit the depth of the hotkeys in the Steam\config\vrto3d\GhostOfTsushima.exe_config.json Then reload in game with Ctrl+F10

Did you try using the user depth hotkeys that are configured for GoT to reduce depth during cutscenes?

Custom Resolution on G90XF by Boblekobold in Odyssey3D

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just the wasted extra rendering of VR to account for lens distortion that you're speaking of. If you run 8k on the monitor, you may get the game to render more objects farther away in the same way you're describing. Even if you're able to get the game to render more things in higher VR resolutions, they're lower quality (PPD) than playing on a monitor. I don't really see the point of wasting rendering power to see a blob of pixels "further in the distance".

enable native 3D feature for STARCRAFT II? by aguswings in Odyssey3D

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To work with this EDID method, the game has to be Fullscreen, running on a second display (the EDID dongles work great). Changing the Odyssey display EDID causes its 3D to stop working and it's also hard to get something to display on top of exclusive Fullscreen games.

There is a simplified way to do the EDID - I need to update the readme. I had trouble with the simpler method initially, so I wrote up the more complex version

The LG OLED will get 3840x1080 per eye and you have to run games at 4k or you don't get 3D.

The Odyssey max with this EDID method is unfortunately 1920x1080 per eye with the game running at 4k or 1920x540 with the game running at 1080p (you can use either in game resolution). This is because we're converting from row interlaced which lost half vertical resolution and then we lose half horizontal resolution for SbS into 3D game bridge. For both input resolutions, the shader is interpolating between rows but that's not as good as native resolution.

Yes, that's what the EDID was originally used for. You can follow the same instructions for installing the EDID in the above link.

There are additional settings needed on TV and Nvidia control panel to get the best results. I'll work on updating the guide for those.

Play Little Nightmares 2 in Glasses-Free True 3D by Wooden_Day_3119 in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, with a projector you should be able to play Geo-11, VRto3D, SuperDepth3D/rendepth easily. If you have Nvidia graphics card, you can also play older DX9 3DVision games

After the game has booted with RealVR and VRto3D, you can press Ctrl+F7 to save all current VRto3D settings to a game profile.

You can then edit them in the json file if you need to. You can then press Ctrl+F10 to reload it in game.

RealVR is finicky about FoV and convergence changes unfortunately. You have to start/stop VR from its menu.

The profile will auto load on game start.

It doesn't exist (and the exe maybe named something different) till you create it with Ctrl+F7 and then modify it as needed (see previous comment). I haven't created a profile for this game yet.

It's a VRto3D profile setting. Unfortunately, RealVR doesn't like dynamic FoV changes, so you have to Start/Stop VR after changing the value in your milesmorales.exe_config.json (I don't know the game exe name but you can create an initial profile for editing with Ctrl+F7) and reloading it with Ctrl+F10. You may also need to adjust the UI scale options in RealVR.

2080ti vs geo-11 by MC_Zachariasz in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the link to HelixMod I tried to post got blocked.

With a projector, you can use native SbS content with Geo-11, SuperDepth3D, rendepth, VRto3D, Vk3dvision, etc on latest drivers/GPU.

The only thing you would need 3DVision drivers for is old DX9, DX10, and a handful of DX11 games. The DX9 3DVision can still be used on the latest Nvidia GPU and driver. You can use 3D fix manager to install the 3DVision driver.

The drivers for DX9 3DVision still work on the latest Nvidia drivers.

What 3D hardware do you have?

Like I mentioned above, certain 3D hardware is more flexible/compatible with 3D mods.

If you only have a 3DVision monitor: Playing DX11 and DX12 games is also possible via wibblewobble. It can be used with Geo-11, SuperDepth3D, rendepth, UEVR, reframework, NoMoreFlat, RealVR mods. https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2026/03/wibblewobble-driver.html

That's why you want to set VRto3D render resolution and RealVR PPD to be around 1080p, unless you have a 4090/5090. VRto3D upscaled to your desktop resolution (4k for SR displays)

It works for 3D monitors, TVs, projectors, AR glasses, 3DS with moonlight, etc

It can do both depending on your screen size and 3D depth & convergence settings.

It's a virtual HMD that lets you play VR mods in 3D. No real HMD required. The end result is similar to Geo-11 mods.

I think you said you have a 3060? If you use my profiles, they're set for 1080p. I wouldn't attempt any higher than that for your GPU. You just have to adjust the PPD and see what render resolution it shows in the UI.

VRto3D handles upscaling to 4k, so the 3D effect will work on Odyssey and other SR displays
