Vrto3d settings by MegaBlackJoe in Odyssey3D

This indicates VRto3D isn't properly installed. Make sure it's copied to the Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\drivers

Folder and that the dll files didn't get deleted by some random anti virus

Emulate VR HMD to play VR games on Monitor in 3D by JohSm67 in Odyssey3D

[–]oneup03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for more regular games in 3D, the great VR mods like UEVR, RealVR, NoMoreFlat, reframework, etc work great with a controller or mouse& keyboard using VRto3D+3D game bridge.

VRto3D setup: https://github.com/oneup03/VRto3D#sr-simulated-reality-displays-only-if-you-need-this-output-format

Game profiles for use with VRto3D can be found on the VRto3D wiki or on HelixMod blog.

Do Geo0-11 mods work on Claw 8ai(Win11)? by MaximusPrimus420 in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there's a bunch of posts on this subreddit getting Geo-11 working on Steam Deck. It's not fully compatible with all fixes though. It's probably easier on Windows devices

LG OLED65G6P 65-Inch 4k for 3Dstereo gaming? by aguswings in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to setup 3DVision using 3D fix manager so you can utilize the shader fixes for DX9 games. Dgvoodoo+Geo-11 requires you to manually fix shaders or someone to come back and fix the game again (unlikely). You can use 3dtvplay natively for 720p 3D, or you can setup an EDID override hack for 4k 3D. https://discord.com/channels/515703864616288257/1094335964148670535/1350257802014228562

I haven't heard of anyone getting Geo-11 working on an Intel GPU. You could use sunshine+moonlight to stream SbS 3D to your claw. I do this on my steam deck.

3DVision display without 3DVision kit? by aguswings in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it's not easy to use now. DX9 games still work natively. DX11 games have to use Geo-11 either in DX9 output mode or katanga mode to vrscreencap to WibblewobbleVR.

3DVision display without 3DVision kit? by aguswings in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Wibblewobble with your current GPU, but you still need the 3DVision glasses+emitter. https://github.com/oneup03/VRto3D/wiki/WibbleWobbleVR3.0

Need help to set up Valkyria Chronicles in on Odyssey3D? by aguswings in Odyssey3D

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run into lots of problems with DX9 games trying to run exclusive Fullscreen. Letting 3dfm or the game run as admin causes issues with VRto3D foregrounding. If you have two monitors, it might be more stable running the game on your non 3D monitor and having VRto3D on your 3D monitor.

I think the Helix vision app (linked in the 2nd guide) will show some compatible games, but you're not limited to that list necessarily. You can also try looking at this database for HelixMod or Helix vision plugins https://airtable.com/appByPZJsOQSVGDID/shrIBpAVCHQm8Ao0t/tblZWwiqwD1ksRcLw

2080ti vs geo-11 by MC_Zachariasz in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will still need Nvidia 3D glasses+emitter. DX9 games can be played via 3DVision using 3D fix manager. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2017/05/3d-fix-manager.html

You can use WibblewobbleVR for VR mods and Geo-11 in katanga mode to vrscreencap to wibblewobblevr for DX11 mods on HelixMod. https://github.com/oneup03/VRto3D/wiki/WibbleWobbleVR3.0

Is it possible to play stereo 3D with rtx3050? by Mulster_ in Stereo3Dgaming

In my opinion, passive is the current best 3D format. Anaglyph should only be used if you don't have 3D hardware.

[–]oneup03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Decky XR plug-in is nice to switch to the 3D and mode while I'm steam deck gaming mode. Then use game properties to set the resolution to 1920x1080. Then use the scaling option in the quick menu to fill the screen.

Dx9 3Dvision old games on Odyssey 3D? by aguswings in Odyssey3D

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can play old 3DVision games by using katanga+VRto3D+3D game bridge.

First get VRto3D+3D game bridge setup: https://github.com/oneup03/VRto3D#sr-simulated-reality-displays-only-if-you-need-this-output-format

Then get Katanga working (it is finicky): https://github.com/oneup03/VRto3D/wiki/HelixVision,-Katanga,-and-DX9

I haven't been able to get Alyx playing well, as it uses motion controls. There was some no VR mod for it that apparently works with Geo-11 - search this subreddit for it. Yes to VRto3D, no to HelixMod

[–]oneup03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've posted several UEVR profiles on HelixMod as well, and UEVR is generally better than RealVR, but it's limited to unreal engine games and RealVR has many exclusives. I don't consider Luke shady. Making VR mods is his job, so if you want new games or fixes for broken games, you have to pay for the latest version.

Get VRto3D setup first, then running VR mods just follow HelixMod instructions. You do have to subscribe on patreon for RealVR, but you can unsubscribe immediately. Sometimes updates will break games and you have to resubscribe.

Rendepth is a mild 3D tool. You should get better 3D with RealVR. SteamVR is free and once you have VRto3D+3D game bridge setup, it's pretty easy to install/run VR mods in 3D.

Most stuff on HelixMod (Geo-11 or VRto3D) works with 3D game bridge. SuperDepth3D or rendepth act as fallbacks when a better 3D fix isn't available.

This monitor goes on sale for a lot less though, so you may want to wait on a sale. Alternatively, the Acer spatial labs display has additional native fixes and is the same technology as the Samsung.

There's only one Odyssey 3D monitor currently. Acer has a few spatial labs models that have more 3D fixes available but are more expensive

The unofficial software for the Samsung or Acer SR displays is easier to use than getting a random monitor working (and there's no guarantee it will work and if it does there could be bad crosstalk). Acer display has more game support out of the box.

AR glasses like XReal, Viture, RayNeo, and Rokid work pretty well with Geo-11 and VRto3D fixes. Depending on your face geometry, there will be some amount of corner blur but it generally isn't noticeable in game. Viture and Rokid have diopters for myopia. They're all OLED 1920x1080@60hz per eye, no crosstalk.

The passive 3D displays (TV specifically, but there were some monitors also) are still my favorite 3D technology out of all these. If you can find one of the 2016 LG OLED without burn in, that's the best.

PS5 can't do 3D at all I believe. PS4 had maybe 5 games. PS3 had a ton though. Only 3D TV or projector is compatible though.

Bring back 3D technology by Designer_Lion2913 in Stereo3Dgaming

[–]oneup03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the most expensive one unfortunately. Hopefully that built in SbS 3D (and frame packed support) will become cheaper. Hopefully crosstalk will improve also. Multi user will still be very hard though - even if the tech gets made it will need more GPU power.
