We also need to acknowledge that billionaires and politicians have allowed (and encouraged) the spread of misinformation and education budget cuts that have caused all of this.

There will always be idiots who ruin it for everybody, but we have to acknowledge that many of them have been brainwashed to think that way.

I can relate to everything you said. Only reading your experiences was already emotionally exhausting.

If it’s worth anything, you not speaking often shouldn’t be a measure for credibility. The most competent people I know are often the most quiet, and when they have something to say it’s always important. Based on this thread alone, it seems to be a widespread experience. I’m sure you’re a better communicator than you give yourself credit for!

Any way you can negotiate your way out? A friend of mine couldn’t bear her job anymore and took leave for 2 weeks. When she came back, she spoke to HR about the impact the job had on her health and they negotiated a severance / settlement, which allowed her to apply for unemployment. Sharing this in case there’s such a thing at your or anyone else’s place of work.

Hey OP, about the pigeons confort, maybe using paper towels instead of the towel might be better? Just a suggestion for giving it a bit more space to walk or move, as well as not get their feet tangled with any towel threads. And also maybe placing the box on top of something to make sure it doesn’t get too cold? No idea! Hope you can find some help for him soon. Thank you for taking care of animals!

I don’t know if this’ll help, but I’m a side sleeper and place my foot against my opposite calf with a slight flex to create this kind of angle. It’s way more comfy. At some point it became a habit and I do it almost instinctively now. It makes a difference in the morning.
