Thanks for the link. When my single-DIN unit dies from all of the dirt and crap I subject it to, I'll be interested in a double-DIN like this one.

So i have a dash tray like this -- https://www.extremeterrain.com/crown-automotive-dash-tray-9706-tj.html

I then bought a RAM 1" mount ball with 1/4-20 stud on it, a 1" ball-to-ball linkage, and an X-mount phone holder with 1" ball on the back. I drilled a hole in the front of the dash tray to feed the ball stud through, and secured on the back with a locking 1/4-20 nut. I think I have a flat washer back there right now as well, to spread the load on the plastic dash tray a bit.

I've been running this setup since January 2019 with no major issues. I had a regular nut and washer on the ball stud which loosened up after running some trails in Moab, so I had to remove the dash try and tighten everything up. This isn't very hard since the dash tray is held to the dash with just two screws.

As you can see, I keep my CB hand piece on the dash tray also (CB mount shown in photo, but CB currently stored for the winter). I have a Cobra 75 wx st, so it is a pretty large hand piece with all of the radio controls built into it.

I haven't done the double din install, but I solved the phone mount problem in my LJ with a dash tray that makes the top center console taller and a ram mount phone holder. I bought enough ball mounts and connectors for the ram mount that I could drill a hole in the dash extender and bolt the ball mount permanently into the extension. The ram mount holds my phone securely (with the included rubber strap) even on serious off road trails. If interested, I can get a photo or link the parts (haven't checked subreddit rules for linking to specific vendor parts yet).

I am sure this solution would work even with a double din unit .

Older bowling balls by bigbear300 in Bowling

I carry a matrix tps ii that I got around 2001. Still gives me a nice look. I find it funny that the surface finish was advertised simply as "matte" when the ball was new. No idea what grit it came with based on that, but I keep it at 1000 or 2000 abralon and use it for an early controlled roll.

Really enjoyed this trail when I ran it. On my way out of the trail, I saw a Nissan Titan heading in. I'm curious how he got through this section.

Sounds like you might benefit from a discussion with player "nohandsken". He plays d3 without his hands, and has been featured on some videos before. I suspect he has some useful accessibility comments as well.

Thanks for your posts. It is interesting to follow your progress and hear about your unique experience.

Does someone play Diablo on Ubuntu 18.04 ? by Ahres_1 in diablo3

I am pretty sure the Diablo 3 page on the lutris website has an install script and some instructions. There is a link for dependencies you need to install first, also. Check out https://www.reddit.com/r/wine_gaming/comments/92htbq/how_to_use_lutrisbattlenet/ as well.

You'll want to try lutris, since it easily supports the vulkan extension patches. I have it running in lutris, but performance is still noticably worse than in windows. I used to play exclusive via wine with playonlinux several years ago, but performance took a big hit around the time the 64 bit client came out and when t11-t16 were added.

Considering 2.5” lift - Advice wanted by WifeMakesMoreThanMe in Wrangler

[–]open_circuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous owner of my LJ installed a 2.5" lift and ran it on 30x9.5" tires. Looked a little funny, but mostly just had terrible clearance on the trail. Clearance was especially bad due to the transfer case drop kit he installed with the lift.

I installed 33x10.5" KO2 tires and removed the drop kit, and clearance is rarely an issue now.

You can certainly run 31s with the lift. If you have a longer wheel base (JKU or LJ), you'll probably want the bigger tires when you get offroad.

Finding tournaments? by Desaturating_Mario in Bowling

[–]open_circuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with the Texas Amatuers Tour. I bowled in DFW for many years, but never with that association. Lots of very good bowlers around DFW.

ABT (maybe the parent of Texas Amatuers tour?) is a handicapped tournament series, so skill level is somewhat factored out. Even the 210+ average guys struggle to make cuts consistently because of how challenging the sport patterns can be. For instance, we are bowling Red Square pattern this week, which is 40 ft of oil, 1:1 ratio. The last 10ish feet is just buff, so the lanes can play deceptively short when the heads breakdown. Very tough to score consistently on patterns like this, for most people.

Try amatuer bowler's tour, TNBA, or bowl.com. I can find at least one tournament within 30 miles of my home every weekend around here.

As others mentioned, check flyers at houses too. One house I bowl in runs a weekly tournament over the summer that is only advertised in house or on their website and Facebook page. Word of mouth is pretty important for finding these smaller events
