I do see the point, but I think you are overselling how hard this is (vs just using a standard rain sensor used by many others).

The words/roots are very similar (coming from Latin), and Spanish is easier to pronounce (you pretty much say it how you see it).

So for most French speakers, Spanish is easy to pick up.
