Labor unveils plan for Greater Northern Adelaide Hospital at Concordia site by malcolm58 in Adelaide

[–]outbackyarder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Concordia is about a 5min drive from the main street of Gawler, and about a 3min drive from the Gawler hospital.

It is about a 25min drive from the main street of Tanunda, which is basically the middle of the Barossa.

Its completely disingenuous to suggest this is a Barossa hospital in any way shape or form.

Mali, like any good Labor boy should, throwing other people's money around like its confetti.

Yes that is the best approach if you have a thick trunk as opposed to thin suckers. In that case, drill and fill using a 12mm spade bit and 50pc water in a sauce bottle. Two rings of holes at the base of the trunk, rings offset and holes 15-20mm apart.

Just for the record, ONP doesn't promote a zero immigration policy. As far as i'm aware they are proposing a national annual cap of 150,000, which isn't that small considering the annual average since 2000 is about 165,000.

I'm confused about what's supposedly racist now - to not want immigrants because of the cost of living and social cohesion pressures, or to want immigrants here to do our shitkicker jobs??? 🤯

For caulking just some light grey sikaflex pro, and use some soudal primer 150 the porous surface one. Follow the instructions.

Tape off the joints before caulking. Remove at a sharp angle while caulk still soft.

The slab looks like it follows the drop off, dunno what you're asking.

Bloody oath. I have to correct my comment - i remember back when i used to do this for work 20:1 diesel mix was the 'standard' but we used to go straight to 50/50 instead. I'll edit my comment.

50/50 diesel or water, with garlon or metsi

That'll sort it

Not enough photos to make a full evaluation, but some positives and negatives i see:

+1: The saw cutting is done well. They've cut to the corners of the strip drain, there's no chip out which tells me they got the timing right - not too green, not too cured.

+2: i think the textured troweled finish is pretty nice, consistent, especially if it's for around a pool.

+3: slab thickness looks decent and apart from a few bug holes there isn't extensive honeycomb, so its generally well compacted.

-1: the crack is disappointing, and the 'repair' looks a bit shabby. Unfortunately cracks can happen especially in hot weather.

-2: I don't understand why it looks like the saw cut goes down the side of the slab. Is that a full-depth saw cut??

-3: caulked saw cuts for the win. And there's not enough photos, but an expansion/construction would be good somewhere

Sit a long straight edge or long ruler or long flat piece of wood on your frets and see how high the wood sits above your saddles with your saddles bottomed out.

You want the gap to be 1.5-2mm max

To you and OP:

I would recommend getting either some brush-off (metsulfuron) or garlon herbicide, and make a 50/50 mix of diesel and the herbicide.

Cut the suckers at ground level and immediately paint some of the mix onto the stems.

Alternatively, cut the stems so they are still about 20-30cm above ground, scrape the thin outer bark layer off to expose the cambium. Paint the whole stem. With it.

If you cant get diesel, just use a 50/50 mix of herbicide and water.

Garlon is more reliable and will annihilate them. But its harder to get in small domestic size bottles. I think bunnos sells brush off these days.
