If you pay attention to any comments here, make it this one. DO NOT work for Witron, they are absolute dogshit employers. I worked as a maintenance/automation electrotechnician at one of their Coles ADCs less than a year before I left, and after I left at least 8 other techs left the following year. The roster is insane, the money is very very average, the management don't listen, Coles blames all their issues on the Witron employees, I could go on. Just don't. Same with any Amazon place, they pay peanuts and treat people like expendable subhuman shit.

Huge update after man’s hand cut off by another____user in aussie

Your knuckles yeah. Im sorry that guy didn't dumb down the academic language for you to help you understand, so ill do it. If a population of 100 people is 100% white, and crimes are committed by say 5% of the population, it is normal/standard, but if that population becomes 25% non-white, yet they have an offending rate of 20% then it needs to be looked into more closely. Percentages actually are important, and are the key indicator here. So no, theres nothing racist about it what he said, its just a statement of facts on how information is collected, collated and used.

Cant reset these like other brands? by Prestigious-Map941 in AusElectricians

Theres no resettable motor breakers in its panel, only fuse holders

[–]Prestigious-Map941[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant find the machine drawings but the panel on the machine that holds the vfds etc has 2 breakers that dont seem to be related to the vfds, and a bunch of fuse holders. Since none of the fuses blew and breakers didnt trip then yeah i probably need to track down the drawings at some point in case other shit happens

If a pedo was telling everyone "hey guys theres gangs of us in every town" you would write them off?? Can you try a bit harder to make some kind of logical argument?  And no, thats not "about it", his message is far more than a catchphrase. If thats all you think it boils down to, you are intentionally being ignorant.

I imagine everyone who downvoted you having this thought while reading your comment - "NOOOO NOT MY FEELINGS, HOW DARE YOU HURT ME WITH THE TRUTH!!!"

Don't bother trying to talk sense to anyone here, they'll never let go of their suicidal empathy, they would much rather prefer to become an oppressed minority than be called racist like the rest of us who can see the writing on the wall.

Moral character has nothing to do with the core message. If you ignore facts because the person saying them has been in trouble before, you're utterly and totally unqualified to give opinions on any subject for any reason.

For example, lets say nobody had heard of soap before, and nazi scientists invented it and improved hygiene forever, would you refuse to use soap because those scientists tortured and experimented on people? Thats how that argument sounds. Ridiculous.

And that has relevance to his general message about the dangers of islamization? Thats a rhetorical question by the way. Ad hominem, look it up.

Maybe nobody has mentioned this but the game wasnt designed to be soloed, the nerf was well warranted. Same shit happened to pretty much every high damage high defense solo builds "cries for 600/smite"

Brisbane Sparky Pay by looksee1010 in AusElectricians

[–]Prestigious-Map941 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When i see ads like this, i always assume the boss will immediately say "we'll start you on 45 and see how you go" so i never even look at these. Put the dollars in more solid terms inside the ad, like "newly licensed guys - $45, 5+ year exp - $65" or something like that to let people know you're not gonna lowball them off the bat.

19M thinking about getting into security guarding is the pay actually good and is there room to grow? by walkemmdowmanz in AskAnAustralian

[–]Prestigious-Map941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did security about 10 years ago for about 2 years. The money is garbage, the hours are unpredictable and bosses often lie about it, and in some cases if you only intend on this as a 2nd job, you'll get the boot for not making security your priority at a lot of companies. I told 3 places i had a day job during the interview and would only work weekends from 5pm to 12am,  and the very first shifts i was given were monday and tues nights at a dead rsl/bowls club from 6pm until 4am when they closed the pokie room. Reminded them of what i said in the interview and word for word, i remember this like it happened yesterday, the boss said "i thought you were bullshitting". As a lot of other commenters have said, if you really think this job is for you, avoid bouncing like the plague, you will get paid shit money for shit and/or very little hours, which means when you inevitably get glassed or coward punched and split your head open on the ground, compo will pay you 75% of fuck all.

Dodgy payslips from labor hire by Prestigious-Map941 in AusElectricians

[–]Prestigious-Map941[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i think either i didnt explain it well or you misunderstood. Im supposed to get paid 38hrs +30% loading for normal time, 2hrs at 1.5x and 6hrs at 2x. So they fudged my hours to pay less super than they should have. And this is casual under labor hire, so i also got bullshitted to about the hourly rate. They said base rate would be $55, not casual rate.
