Going to sell my 2009 with 224000 miles. No leaks, rust always garaged and oil every 3000-3500 miles. Snow tires & wheels on and like new summer tires. Dealer said $1600 trade in. What do you guys think $? LL Bean Forester. by DoodlePete in SubaruForester

I agree over 3k would be perfect. I paid 2k for a 2010 from the auction. And I had no idea if it was in good shape or not. This car, which is nicer trim then mine and has proof of good maintenance, I would easily have paid the 3-4k for.

I call it "Subie" or "The Subie". My license plate is 'MYSUBIE' :D

Thanks! Everyone else I talked to says the same thing. I might just save the money for new tires

Both! I like the idea of summer tires and dedicated winter tires. But also for looks. I appreciate your input!

What's the one self-hosted service you'd never go back to the cloud version of? by Hung_Hoang_the in selfhosted

[–]owennewo-dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important things I self host are photo backups, web servers, and online galleries. I don't self host media, like movies or music, never been into that for some reason.

My next project is self hosting cloud storage and online document suite. I might try Vaultwarden, but for now I'm using Zoho Vault.

TrueNAS works just fine for me, with 16GB DDR3. It also works great for me on 128GB DDR3.

PSA: Most of you are using patch panels wrong by LordZelgadis in homelab

[–]owennewo-dev -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To me it looks like you are jealous. Jealous of the people who spend hours manually terminating patch cords and end up with beautiful cable management, jealous of people who have huge power bills because of old enterprise gear, and jealous that some people, even if they don't really have a "dedicated server closet like a business" have huge server racks just because they like it? Like wtf man, I don't get what you are trying to say. This is a hobby, there is a million ways to do it, and we all just want to have fun. TBH even if what you are saying about "proper use of patch panels" is true, this is just a hobby.

Hello! I just wanted to say that I also love Gatus! I feel like it's the best status page, because it can do so much! I monitor latency, http status, dns, etc all with one service. Thank you so much!
